    On the last SC update on ESPN 1000, Levine mentioned that Wood will most likely begin a rehab stint starting at Mesa early next week.

    Wow. Ichiro is a good outfielder, but how could you go with him over the best player in the game?

    Yeah, we definitely need an upgrade in CF. I'm glad that Felix is being sent down...he really needs the AB's everyday and hopefully he can work out some of the kinks in his swing. That being said, I can't see Lou taking 3 catchers. It just does not make any sense, especially seeing how he wants to get to 12 pitchers.

    Really? One person said he heard Bruce Levine report it, correct? Has there been any other confirmation? ESPN1000 has been mentioning it throughout the day.

    About a month and a half late, but I suppose late is better than September 1. He definitely has to be starting, there's no question about that. I'm just glad that the Koyie Hill experiment is over. And three teams being interested in Izzy is awesome as well.

    Technically, telling someone what they can't post doesn't count as a personal attack. Although calling him a BP whore probably does. No, but he's not a mod. He can't tell others what to post and what not to post. And it's not like this is the first or fifth time he made a remark like that.

    Samardzija's night is done: 5 IP, 6 hits, 2 runs, 2 K's/2 BB's. He will have a no decision as Michael Phelps gave up 2 runs in the 6th to give Lakeland the 4-2 lead over Daytona.

    And to think I actually wanted Lugo in the offseason. I'm glad I was wrong on that.

    You would think so, but I've felt that a move was coming 2-3 weeks ago. Just remember, these are still the same old Cubs who have no idea what they are doing when it comes to player personnel. We need a sweep here.

    Agreed, I didn't really understand it either. I don't know how you can pass on Pujols with the tying run on 3rd and the winning run on 2nd in the bottom of the 9th.

    Looked like Infante had a great start today for the VSL Cubs. 6 innings of no-hit ball, 2 K's/2 BB's, and one unearned run.

    "Walks clog the bases." Sounds like Kruk went to the Dusty Baker School of Baseball. Funny thing is Kruk was one of those high OBP guys who couldn't run.

    Peoria wins 7-5. Maestri gave up 2 runs in the 9th, but held on to preserve the win. Mesa's box score hasn't updated for a while...it's been stuck at a 6-2 lead in the 6th for Mesa for quite some time now. Rea is 2/3 with 2 RBI's and a double. Carlos Perez is 2/2 with a triple and an RBI as well.
