  1. This game is a huge success for everybody that hates the BCS. I'd imagine that this game will have its worst ratings since the BCS took over in the late 90's as well. Split champs, baby!
  2. Glad I'm not the only one who feels that way about Bolland. He's had a couple of really good playoff runs, but he's been a very average player in the regular season. He hasn't had a very good year this year and I think it's more apparent than because of the lack of centers we have on this team. Hjalmarsson just isn't very good. He's a defenseman that doesn't give you anything on the offensive end and he's made way too many mistakes on the defensive end to balance out his worth. That's looking like a terrible contract now.
  3. Hopefully the Sharp injury actually forces Bowman to make a move. The weaknesses on this team have really been showing during this stretch.
  4. Q thinks the suspension is going to begin tonight. I don't see how the NHL can let that happen because there's no way Carcillo would be able to play tonight if he wasn't suspended.
  5. I hate to be "that guy," but if Jimmy Butler can't get any burn in this brutal stretch, I don't see when he's ever going to get playing time. There was no reason for the entire starting five to be out there with two minutes left and an 18 point lead. Thibs has proven to be a really good coach, but I don't see how something like that makes sense in a season like this.
  6. I cannot find Shanahan's video explanation for this suspension. 7 games seems high, I wonder if Carcillo's injury plays into the length? His past history came into play. This is the ninth time where he's been fined or suspended.
  7. He's so much better than Neil Funk. Then again, I think many of us on here could call a game better than Neil Funk can.
  8. He said that when the Hawks were up by 10 too. Awesome comeback win tonight. The defensive effort was there the whole night, which was nice to see. I have a feeling we're going to see Taj and Omer get more PT than they should, just because of how terrible Noah and Boozer are. Taj and Omer are good players, and I have no problem with limiting Noah/Boozer to 30 minutes consistently with the shortened schedule. I only wish they could do the same for Rose and Deng. Oh, I absolutely agree with that. Once Watson comes back, I think they'll be able to give Rose a bit of a rest. Unfortunately, I think Deng's going to be one of the league leaders in minutes again.
  9. Swirsky's a terrible homer too, but he's fine for the radio. I miss Larrivee and Dore.

  11. I hate to say it, but Funk and King are embarrassingly bad announcers.
  12. Wisconsin fans must despise the game clock after the last two days.
  13. This looks like a high school game.
  14. He regressed in a major way this year. The loss of Cullen Jenkins probably affected him more than anybody else on the defense.
  15. Yeah, I don't see how Lovie's going to stay with a new boss in charge.
  16. College special teams...lol.
  17. The similarities between him and Andy Reid are a tad horrifying for me. i think andy reid is a really good coach and if bielema is the andy reid of college football, then that's pretty damn good. that said, andy reid definitely sucks at clock management. I think Bielema's a decent coach too, but his clock management has always been horrendous. It's a comparison that makes sense.
  18. I know it sounds wrong, but I kind of hope Carcillo's knee injury is serious. That guy really doesn't have any business being on this team with the [expletive] that he pulls.
  19. The problem with franchising Flynn is that we have two other viable players that could be worthy of the tag, with Finley and Scott Wells entering free agency. That would be an extremely risky move to franchise a backup, while letting two rather important parts test the waters of the open market. Depending on what Flynn would get in free agency, I think the Packers could end up getting a compensatory pick in the 3rd round for the following season. I think Flynn can be a serviceable starter in the league, but I think teams are going to be hesitant to judge him on one start against a team with an extremely banged up secondary. The Kevin Kolb mistake should linger in the minds of teams who need a starter.
  20. Bret Bielema is a coach that shouldn't be trusted with his timeouts and his clock management.
  21. i think he solidified the idea that the difference between jay cutler and aaron rodgers might not be so great as thought. Tom Brady isn't as great as initially thought either because of the Cassel year a few seasons ago.
  22. That was legitimately one of his best games in his career. Good luck trying to take him down after that performance.
  23. Not quite the same scenario. Rose is from Chicago and grew up a Bulls fan. LeBron is from Akron (I know it's in the Cleveland area but they view it differently there) and did NOT grow up a Cavs fan. Plus, LBJ is a bitch and DRose is not. I'm sure Cleveland fans weren't saying that LeBron was a bitch when he was on the Cavs.
  24. The Packers just played very poorly against the Chiefs and I think it's possible they could struggle again with Jennings out and a thin offensive line. I don't think the Bears have the ability to score much though I kind of have a feeling this will be a low scoring Packers win. Not as big of a blowout as you guys think it will be. Plus, our offense usually struggles against the Bears defense. I don't think it's going to be a blowout either.
