  1. He's 5'10" and not a great shooter. He is tearing it up in Turkey though. I'd still take him over Chris Duhon.
  2. Yeah, I wouldn't take that bet. Illinois is the only Big Ten team to beat Wisconsin at the Kohl Center since Bo Ryan took over. Most likely it will be a slower paced game and with how the Badgers have shot free throws this year I would imagine this game might end up being closer than you think. The game should be over at halftime. I'd say this is as close to a gimme win for the Badgers as there will be for the rest of the year.
  3. How in the hell did Illinois beat them? And by beat them, I mean by blowing them out.
  4. 12 points in the 4th quarter. Wow.
  5. The march to a .500 season lives on as SIU beats Bradley 77-64. It's amazing how we can score 70 points, and sometimes close to 80 points at home, and then struggle to score 50 on the road. Unreal. Next two games are roadies @ Indiana State and @ Evansville. If we can win one of those, it'll be a miracle.
  6. Bradley-SIU in about 15 minutes on ESPNU. The battle between the two biggest disappointments in the Valley so far. We're at home, so we actually might have a chance to win.
  7. A little too excited. I could never root for Hawai'i with their fanbase. The negative media attention they've received, albeit sparse, has certainly been well deserved by all accounts I've read. Obviously it's not all of their fans, but it's a bad place for visiting fans to watch a game because of an ever-present group. Ahh, I guess I'm not the only one who has read about a certain group of Raider-like* Hawaii fans at home games. *Apologies, soccer. I've heard about this too. Can anyone enlighten on this some more?
  8. Watching them over the past couple of years, I've started to really like the way they play. Don't know if it was more June Jones or the team, but I began pulling for them a little this year. Wonder who they're looking at for a new head coach? I'm not afraid to admit it. I jumped on Hawaii's bandwagon. I love the way they play and I hope that doesn't really change even with Jones' departure. He's got a huge task in front of him at SMU. If he can turn that program around to where it once was, he's going to have a pretty good lasting legacy.
  9. My score prediction was 38-21 LSU. I nearly got that down. I'm so glad tOSU lost. I'm an Illini fan and all, but I have no affiliation to the Big 10. I don't know how some of you could actually pull for Ohio State or Michigan in a game of this magnitude. But more power to you guys.
  10. Well, I guess I'm rooting for the Pats and Packers now. +1
  11. Ugh. Just say no to Burnett. If we're going to get an arm, let's go after Blanton. No way. I'd take Burnett over Blanton and it's not even close. I used to be an enormous Burnett fan, but the guy can't stay healthy at all. There's no question that he's a great pitcher when he's healthy. And of course a move back to the NL would probably help him out - when he's healthy. I think Blanton would fit in very well here, but maybe I'm in the minority.
  12. Ugh. Just say no to Burnett. If we're going to get an arm, let's go after Blanton.
  13. They weren't going to make the tournament even if they won today. Weber deserves some blame, but he shouldn't be canned. It'll be nice once the two big doofuses (Pruitt and Randle) are finally out of Chambana.
  14. This is awful. It's sad that Illinois State is the best team in the state, but what's even sadder is that DePaul is the second best team despite being under .500. What the hell happened?
  15. Ballgame. Three years ago, we beat the Vikes twice in the regular season, but lost when it mattered most. Hopefully the same fate accompanies the Cowboys next week.
  16. Brandon Jacobs.
  17. That non-call evened out with that terrible "foul" call that sent Miller to the line late in the game. Miller went up to shoot the ball and he lost the ball, yet - I think it was Tyrus - was whistled for a foul. Nice to finally win a close game. We haven't done much of that this year.
  18. SIU went the first 15 minutes or so without scoring a field goal tonight. Wow. We actually played decent in the 2nd half but still lost by like 10 or so. I don't know what's worse this year. SIU or the Illini. It sucks being a fan of both.
  19. Bring on the Seahawks. And it does look like the Redskins will lose by 21.
  20. Ray Rice is just having his way on the Ball State defense. Averaging more than 8 yards a carry and is getting close to 300 yards on the game.
  21. That still sounds good to me. Congrats on the win. Great season for you guys.
  22. Whoops...
  23. Put money on it. DePaul is only getting 1.5  Nova is a stone cold lead pipe lock to cover. I haven't been on these boards very long, but if I bet sports I could make a fortune by taking the opposite side of the line every time I see these words on here. DePaul wins, but they certainly tried to blow it. Lead got down to 4 with a few minutes left. They are the most maddening team to watch ever...more than the Cubs. SIU and Illinois are just as maddening to watch as DePaul.
