  1. Joe Alexander can't do anything right now. Yeah, this is great. And it's real obvious that UNC is out of their comfort zone against WSU's defense.
  2. I like them all, including the forceout rule. I absolutely hate the forceout. I'm not a huge fan of the forceout, but I feel the defense has too big of an advantage otherwise. In college you only need 1 foot, and in the pros you can't get shoved out if you were going to have 2 feet inbounds. To have neither means that many of the routes that are run on both levels won't work anymore. It's already a league that heavily favors the offensive players. The 5 yard illegal contact call (another terrible rule) is a perfect example of that. These guys are in the pros; they should be able to get two feet in bounds.
  3. Northwestern, please. That would be all kinds of awesome.

  5. http://www.baseballdigestdaily.com/audioblog/uploaded_images/20040207DSlittlefield_450-738689.jpg Hello friend. Glad to have you aboard, Dave.
  6. With Marquis and Dempster in the rotation, we're going to need a 12-man staff.
  7. He hit what, 23 homers in half a season? It sucks that he's in AAA, but I doubt he's going to be there for long.
  8. Yep, I agree with you. It's better to just get him AB's every day than just sitting him on the bench and playing him once every seven games or so. Provided he's not traded, he'll be a pretty nice fallback option if one of the other OF's goes down.
  9. That was my final. Thanks to the scenario generator, I just found out that the best I can do right now is a distant third. And that's if I get all of the remaining games involving teams I still have alive correct. What site is the scenario generator on? EDIT: Nevermind. Yeah, if Kansas were to beat UCLA in the title game, you and I would tie for first. That's about all I can hope for now.
  10. Man Indiana sure played well in the tournament. And the fifth and sixth place teams, Ohio State and Minnesota, had good showings as well. Oh wait...... Yes, Indiana was awful. But they did lose their coach right at the end of the season. Ohio State probably, or at least arguably, should've been in the tournament. Still, for a conference that is supposed to be horrendous, 5-2 with two Sweet 16 teams isn't too shabby. I ragged on the conference all year, but I said I wouldn't have been surprised if Wisconsin and/or MSU make it just because they're two of the best-coached teams in the land. Both of those teams always find a way to get things done come March. I don't think anyone is going to claim the Big Ten is a great conference this year. It just didn't deserve the crap it caught -- which is pretty typical, for whatever reason. Well, here's my reasoning for why it wasn't a great conference. It didn't have one team that stood above and beyond the others as one of the better teams in the nation. The Big East had Georgetown, the ACC had Carolina, the Big 12 had Kansas/Texas, the SEC had Tennessee, the Pac-10 had UCLA. The best team in the Big 10, this year, was a Wisconsin team that really won the conference by great coaching. I don't think you can say Wisconsin has the most talent in the conference (not that it's a bad thing since they're obviously doing quite well for themselves). They had four teams that didn't really show anything special throughout the year. Ohio State was a bubble team that didn't beat anybody and the next best team, Minnesota, wasn't all that great either. The bottom half of the conference was extremely terrible. You can't tell me you'd take Penn State, Illinois, Northwestern, Iowa, and Michigan over the bottom half of the other major conferences. Conferences should be judged by quality of depth...something the Big 10 really didn't have much of this year.
  11. 6 Sweet 16 teams out and 1 Elite 8 team out, but I'm still alive. Gotta love this year's tournament.

  13. COLLISON!!!!!
  14. Well Pitt lays an egg and UCLA's offense looks terrible. My bracket's turning into mush.
  15. Elmore has dragged down Gus significantly in this tournament. I liked it better when he was with Bonner.
  16. Gus has finally awoken. And I guess we get the aTm-UCLA game instead of the MSU-Pitt game. Sigh.
  17. Having Clemson in the Elite 8 is going to hurt you. But at least you have your name out there right now. Looks like Kansas is going to win. Bring on the late games.
  18. 0-2 so far today... Xavier really needs to help me out.
  19. K-State really isn't looking that good. Ugh.
  20. The one time I root for Duke, they do this.
  21. Group A: Ryan Howard Group B: Matt Holliday, Albert Pujols Group C: Brandon Phillips, Hanley Ramirez, Aramis Ramirez Group D: Josh Fields, Ryan Zimmerman, Curtis Granderson, Chase Utley, Jason Bay Wild Card: Luke Scott
  22. The best record on ESPN.com is 30-2 and only 50 people have that.
  23. Screw you, Clemson.
  24. YAY! I might actually get one 8-9 game right!!! \:D/ I'll be 3-0 in 8-9 games if Miss State hangs on here. If they hang on and if Louisville and Clemson take care of business later tonight, I'll have 14 of 16 Sweet 16 teams still alive. Not too bad.
