  1. Holy crap, was that radar gun right? Cotts can hit 96?
  2. Lee! Nice baserunning. Come on Aramis. All we need is a base hit.
  3. Awesome job by Eyre and Marmol. Come on offense.
  4. Hey, even I could see that Edmonds' swing was five miles off there.
  5. Terribly Insightful. Reminds me of John Madden- "Well, the team that scores the most points today is going to end up winning the game." Hahahaha. This thread is awesome.
  6. Hey, another person that makes sense. You sure you don't want to criticize him for 14 big league AB's or his last name? It's what everyone else is doing. Or, ya know, it could be due to the fact that he's not an outfielder and he is now the 5th middle infielder on the roster. Could that possibly be it? By that logic, Hoffpauir isn't an outfielder either.
  7. Hey, another person that makes sense. You sure you don't want to criticize him for 14 big league AB's or his last name? It's what everyone else is doing. That has absolutely nothing to do with why I would rather have Hoff in there today, but keep generalizing its alot of fun. I wasn't talking about you. You said you didn't mind Patterson being called up. I'm talking about the people that are saying "Patterson sucks."

  9. You're judging this off of 14 Major League at-bats?
  10. At what? Baseball. I have a feeling many of you who are complaining about him being called up are only judging him on the extremely small number of at-bats he's had in the majors.
  11. Pie's hitting under .200 since he was demoted.
  12. It's clear that we're not only thinking about big things in Chicago, but also big things in Iowa this season.
  13. He has around a .950 OPS against lefties. It wouldn't be bad if he platooned in LF with Hoffpauir. I definitely don't mind the Patterson call-up though.
  14. Yeah, that was my thought as well, but I don't mind this option either. Or Cedeno at 2B and DeRosa in LF. That's exactly why I'm not too terribly concerned with Soriano going down. We have a lot of options to fill that spot.
  15. EPatt getting playing time right away. I like.
  16. I'm trying to be a sports reporter in either the radio or TV end.
  17. Hoff is eligible to come back Friday right? and Thursday is an off day, right? I have a feeling there will be a roster move and Fontenot's playing time will only see a marginal increase. Nope, we finish the series against the Braves tomorrow afternoon. I expect to see Johnson in LF and Edmonds in CF. Yuck. Like someone else mentioned, the most logical thing to do would be having Cedeno play at second while DeRosa goes to LF.
