  1. That's one of the best .gif's ever.
  2. They just don't care about the regular season.
  3. I don't want to see Kirk Hinrich in a Bulls uniform again once Rose is back.
  4. Hayward and House have been much better than Woodson was this year. Shields has also had a pretty good year, when he's actually been able to play. Oh okay, you're right. My bad. Packers 72 Bears 0 Yeah, that's exactly what I said. You know me, eternal Packers optimist! All I'm saying is that Woodson really isn't that great anymore. Father Time caught up to him. Just look at Pro Football Focus.

  6. I don't think he's going to. I would think that reaching the postseason last year bought him a year like this one. Now if they fail to reach the postseason again next year, I think he'll be canned.
  7. How long until Kobe asks for a trade?
  8. I was expecting a pretty big letdown after the Gonzaga game. Combine that with the fact that Illinois hasn't played its best against lesser opponents, and you get a game where you struggle like this.
  9. That's the mode I'm in too. Can't wait to complain about how many soft goals Crawford's going to allow this year!
  10. I'd feel a little bit better about that story if somebody besides Joe Cowley wrote it.
  11. NIU doesn't deserve to be in a BCS bowl, but I don't give a [expletive]. The game on Friday night was terrific and I'm pretty happy that this team is going to the Orange Bowl. I don't necessarily agree with the blame being thrust in NIU's direction, as it should really be at the BCS for all of the various qualifications and what not that prompted NIU to grab the last at-large spot. The payday that NIU is going to receive is also going to be quite nice as well. The four team playoff in 2014 is a start, but I won't be 100% happy until a 16 team playoff is instituted. I'm hopeful that happens in the near future.
  12. I'll be in Detroit for the game on Friday night. Should be a fun one. Probably the biggest MAC title game since Roethlisberger's Miami Ohio team faced a ranked Bowling Green team in 2003. I would think that Kent State would be a shoe-in for an Orange Bowl appearance if they win. If NIU wins, they could make the Orange Bowl, but they'd need a little bit of help too. The Orange Bowl committee is going to be on hand too, so there's a somewhat realistic chance that one of them could be going to a BCS game. It's a shame that NIU lost to Iowa in the first week of the season. They'd be a definite lock for a BCS game with a win against Kent State.
  13. I know it's still a long shot, but today has been a great day for NIU as far as maybe stealing a BCS bid goes. They'll be ranked ahead of the Big East champion in the BCS poll, so all they have to do is finish in the top 16 now to be eligible for a BCS berth. NIU was 26th in the BCS rankings, but Oregon State, Texas, Rutgers, Michigan, Louisville, Oklahoma State, Arizona and Washington all lost already this week. It's looking better for Boise State or the winner of the MAC title game to sneak into a BCS game.
  14. Same here. I knew the rule existed, as McCarthy was flagged for it in the preseason and then Arians was flagged for it earlier this year as well. How it cancels out a review is absolutely beyond me, especially when its been beaten to death that 'all scoring plays are reviewable.'
  15. Kind of surprising. Everybody at SIU loved him. Bart Scott has credited his whole career to Jerry Kill. I think this guy might be exaggerating a bit, at least, I hope that's the case.
  16. Alabama has 2 good wins this season, 1 over a team that damn near lost to Ole Miss today and got taken well into the 2nd half by FCS Towson, and the other to a team ND also beat. It seems really odd to use close wins to poor teams as reason to discredit someone on Alabama's schedule in an attempt to make a relative comparison to Notre Dame. Alabama's played three teams that could be described as 'not crappy' this year, struggled with one, creamed one and lost to one. The narrative of Alabama as an invincible force of college football when their most recent FBS game was a home loss to a team that was a middle-tier Big 12 team last season needs to be discredited, even if it means making a comparison you find odd. I don't disagree with you about Alabama, but why would you use last year to discredit A&M? Last year doesn't have anything to do with them this year, especially when their best player wasn't even on their team last year. Oh, and he's the best player in college football too this season.
  17. I don't see Tennessee hiring another mid-major coach after the Dooley fiasco. Arkansas may have some interest in him, as he was a name that immediately popped up after the Petrino firing. He's a guy with a Big Ten background, so if Purdue comes calling, I know he'll leave. It's the most logical fit for him and Purdue would be getting a hell of a coach. He's really turned NIU's defense around from the end of last season to where they're at now and the offense is extremely fun to watch with how fast and efficient they are.
  18. ROFL Deadspin posted some stuff about it right after it ran too. http://deadspin.com/5957852/aaron-rodgers-is-very-sensitive-about-his-height I like Matthews & Jennings saying what will happen, and then it did. Yeah, I don't think anybody should be surprised by it.
  19. Purdue's going to get a good coach in Dave Doeren. Iowa beating NIU didn't make too much sense in the beginning of the season and it definitely doesn't make sense now.
  20. Maybe D'Antoni will actually practice defensive drills this time around?
  21. Eventually, coaches are going to realize that icing the kicker does more harm than good.
  22. The Cardinals are pretty damn good.
  23. Would he be worth the headaches he causes off the field if the Packers picked him up for their secondary? There's a better chance that the Packers sign me than signing someone who's been arrested twice in the same offseason.
  24. That's a little bit of a letdown. I switched to DirecTV a couple of months ago, so I was able to get Sunday Ticket for free this year. I think that's worth the trade-off of no RedZone this season.
  25. Pippen would do it.
