  1. Well if that happens...holy [expletive], that would be fun.
  2. Exactly what I was wondering.
  3. Wait -- someone would really rather have Luol Deng over Melo? lollllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll
  4. Good. Obviously he's a good penalty killer but he shouldn't be more than a 4th line center at this stage of his career.
  5. Yes. That's a blatant delay of game penalty. I saw it happen right away and was completely confused as to how the refs could allow Quick just rolling the water bottle out there. I'm not blaming the loss on that by any stretch but that was pretty frustrating.
  6. Yeah, I would've thought that two championships in four years would've quieted the most pessimistic of fans.
  7. I'd have to think that Bryant will be in Iowa within a couple of weeks, right?
  8. Right. Honestly, I think it's been a pretty even series at even strength. The PP and PK have obviously been the deciding factor of the last three games. Find a way to win tonight and then the pressure is squarely on the Kings in Game 6.
  9. Kings have only played 3 less games of hockey of the last 2 years, and considerably more over the last 3 and look to be firing on all cylinders. Also, the Kings have had a considerably more grueling run in this year's playoffs. Only 2 more games played but the Hawks had several days rest between each series and I believe the Kings had 1 day off between each series. I guess the major difference is the Hawks had 10 Olympians and the Kings 6. The Kings last year looked like the tired beat up team vs the Hawks, looks like the opposite this series. Not making excuses but the Hawks haven't really looked right since February. That being said if I think the Hawks can win this series. Anyone see this? http://www.tmz.com/2014/05/28/corey-crawford-nhl-goalie-chicago-blackhawks-water-bottle-spray-fan/ The Kings were significantly beat up last year. This isn't the same team that the Hawks beat in 5.
  10. I figured this would be the thread to talk about this -- Draft lottery is tonight. I'm thinking the Sixers land the top pick.
  11. It would be cool if it meant Love plus Hoiberg. Outside of that, I'm not really for trading Thibs. Silence means everything here too. No comment about Thibs availability clearly means that he could be had for the right price.
  12. I'm absolutely thrilled that Clinton-Dix somehow made it to #21. I didn't think there was a chance that would happen. I was pretty surprised that Pryor ended up going before him too. Love the pick and if he pans out, the Packers secondary could actually (surprisingly) become an area of strength.
  13. Leddy's going to be back in the lineup tomorrow.
  14. Packers select Demarcus Lawrence out of Boise State. He's had off the field issues but for a later 3rd round pick, this could be a huge steal. He would provide depth at a position that has been plagued by injury the last few years with Matthews and Perry both missing considerable time. The OLB rotation with Matthews-Perry-Peppers-Lawrence would be a pretty formidable one.
  15. Yeah, I'm totally cool with him being completely invisible in the regular season if it means he's going to do this in the playoffs. He's worth every penny of that contract if he continues to pile up the points when it actually matters.
  16. If he turns down Phil to join the Bulls, that has to be considered a pretty big upset, right?
  17. I understand there is a prevailing attitude that the bulls play too hard in the regular season and that this is a negative and presumably Thibs fault. For all you folks who hold this opinion or some variation of it, I want it explained. Is it that you want Thibs to play worse players more or that you want the players to try less hard when they are on the floor? Comparing the Bulls minutes to another team's minutes doesn't make any sense -- if you honestly think the Wizards bust their ass as hard as the Bulls do in the regular season, you're wrong. There's a lot more hard milage on the Bulls minutes as opposed to a team like Washington's. How about resting guys like Noah and Butler when the game is in doubt? Playing guys 40 minutes a game for a game in January against the Bucks, or playing them with two minutes left in the game when they're up by 18 isn't very smart. Again, I think it's a tremendous testament to both Thibs and his players that they bust their asses whenever they're out there. But not every game needs to be treated like Game 7 of the Finals. For the majority of the game last night, the Bulls just looked fatigued. So not only are you not as talented as the opponent, but now you don't have the same energy level as the opponent either. That's...not good. Thibs can't coach offense. The regular season literally means nothing. I'd hope that everybody would eventually figure that out, but that's a losing battle. When the other team is giving maximum effort and when halfcourt sets become more important, the Bulls just absolutely struggle to put the ball in the hoop.
  18. For what? Even with a healthy Rose, they're still not better than Miami.
  19. I'm waiting for the year that the team starts to tune out Thibs and begins to struggle in the regular season. It's definitely a testament to him and the players that it hasn't happened yet. Please hire some sort of offensive minded assistant too. That game last night might have been the worst playoff game in recent memory.
  20. Packers select Lamarcus Joyner. Joyner can give the Packers some CB/safety flexibility, especially with Micah Hyde probably transitioning over to one of the other safety spots.
  21. [expletive] sorry about that. Nix is who I would've taken, so good job dew.
  22. Flip the coaches in this series. Thibs with the Wizards roster would either sweep the Bulls or win in 5, right?
