    Great game today for the Packers, all-around. I'd like to see the rushing YPC higher, but anytime you run the ball for over 30 times, you more than likely will have a lower YPC. Grant did his job early and often as he set up our drives by getting those tough yards. Rodgers was great once again. The bye week is coming at a perfect time for us as Rodgers, Clifton, Woodson, and Pickett can hopefully have their nagging injuries healed and hopefully Harris and Bigby will be ready to go right away for the Tennessee game. I'm getting more and more confident in this team. After the loss to Atlanta, we easily could have died last week and just shut it down with a depleted secondary. Kudos to McCarthy and the rest of the coaching staff for keeping this thing afloat and winning in Seattle (which is a hard thing to do no matter how bad they are) and blowing out the Colts. 4-3, tied for 1st in the division and only a game and a half out of 1st in the NFC. I really can't complain about that. I'm really hoping the Titans can beat the Colts next week so we can face them without a blemish on their record. It would be nice to be the first team to take them down this year.

    The Niners have been one of the sorriest teams in the NFL this decade and the Cowboys haven't won a playoff game since what, 1997? Carolina isn't that bad.

    I strongly disagree with this. I think the talent is there for them to make the playoffs in the West. They are not a top team though. In the West? I really think they should be a top 4 team in the conference.

    Of course one week I get the game in Carbondale, I'll be on the road driving back here. Ugh. Oh well, Larrivee on the radio should be solid. Interesting about Ty Law. We could always use the depth at CB. Tramon Williams has been more than solid filling in for Harris, but if we could get Law, our corner depth would be deadly with the return of Harris in the next few games.

    Well, so much for that trade. McCargo fails his physical and goes back to the Bills. Ouch, that sucks. Joseph Addai will also be out 2-4 weeks - not a good week for Colt fans so far. At least Bob Sanders should be back soon. . . No Addai and no Sanders should greatly help us out, but the Colts are still a very good team even without them.

    Wow? That's really really weird. Not that he was fired, but 4 games into the season. I don't think this is a good move. This will put more pressure on a young team. Hawks fans who no more about hockey than me (which is most of them) seem to think that this is a planned move to end up with Scotty Bowman as GM and Joe Quenneville (sp?) as head coach. GM Dale Tallon has the sword of Damocles hanging over his head. Weird, weird, weird. Yeah, that's exactly what my lone hockey friend down here said as well.

    Why? what he do wrong? Did you see how terrible he made the lines the first 3 games? It was 3 games? And completely stupid line management. Uh, did you really think it was completely stupid line managment before they actually lost those games? You were the one that was pleased with a 4-2 loss to the Rangers. The timing was weird, but I wasn't really all that impressed with Savard. My biggest problem with him was that the Hawks (for the past year and half since I've really started watching) have always played real conservative with leads, especially in the 3rd period. If you're leading in the 3rd period, sure you expect to be outshot in the final frame. But there were some games where the opposing team outshot us by something ridiculous like a 4 or even a 5 to 1 margin. We lost the Capitals game and the Predators game because of being too conservative. That has to change. There's no question the talent is there this year to be a top team in the West. I think Tallon made this move because he knows he has to change something to keep his job because right now, he's on the hot seat.

    Great game tonight. Offense showed up, defense sounded tremendous and the netminding was great too. Hopefully this builds some confidence for the whole team.

    if he gives you full effort, which he will for Dallas, he's a Michael Irvin-type talent they overpaid, but he's really elite Hm, I'll take your word for it. Al Harris shut him down time after time after time though. I thought that Calvin Johnson was easily the better WR of the two in Detroit.

    I pretty much knew it wasn't going to happen, but I was really hoping the Titans would pull off some type of a Housh for a 2nd round pick deal. Obviously never happened, but it would've made me very happy. I was hoping for Tony Gonzalez for the Packers. Too bad Thompson doesn't believe in trading any kind of draft pick. But its instances in like what Dallas did that make me happy he's not a total idiot when it comes to overspending. The more I think about that deal, the more I don't really understand why they gave up so much for him. Sure they locked him up long-term and yeah Roy Williams is a good wideout, but nothing in his game makes me scream that he's an elite wideout. I just think for a 1st, a 3rd, a 6th, and a 7th, you better be getting a freakin' superstar with all those draft picks you're giving up.

    Roy Williams has always wanted to come back to Texas. With that accomplished and being on a winning team with a new contract, I think he'll be fine. I doubt he was talking about Williams.

    Stupid is as stupid does. I don't understand why they figured they needed to add Roy Williams, especially at that price. To give up a first and a third rounder to fill an area where you don't need any help at really doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Huge game for the Packers this week. If we can beat Indy heading into the bye, not only will it give us some much needed momentum, but we'll also be 4-3 with some of our guys that are playing hurt having that extra week to heal up. Al Harris could be back immediately after the bye which is huge news for us, even though Tramon Williams has done a pretty solid job as the #2 corner.

    Cubs started out 1-3 and the Brewers 3-1 and we turned out ok. True but 162 games / = 82 games. If the Hawks won 45+ games I'd be happy, would you? Let's try winning one damn game first before we talk about winning 45.

    If this was the Toledo teams of past years with guys like Bruce Gradkowski and Lance Moore on offense, I could see it. But Toledo is really down this year. I almost feel sorry for Michigan...then again, I really don't.

    I'm not really sure who to root for in this game. Obviously a tie would help the Packers' chances are out the most, but everyone knows that won't happen. The Bears have easily been more impressive than the Vikings all year long. I know a few Bears fans really believe they should be 6-0 right now, although 5-1 or 4-2 sound more realistic to me. There's no question that they've surprised me and I'm sure they've surprised a lot of you guys too. I think everyone not named ESPN saw that Minnesota wasn't going to be a Super Bowl contender with their issues at QB. I also think that they're possibly one of the worst 3-3 teams that I've ever seen. There's no reason why the Vikes shouldn't be 1-5 right now. If I have to root for a team in this game on a performance standpoint, I'd root for the Vikes because the Bears are just simply a better team than Minnesota and I'm more concerned about them in the race for the division than Minnesota. Whatever happens will happen though.

    Rivera was one of the guys I wanted to fill the Sherman vacancy after the 2005 season. I thought he was a real good defensive coordinator.

    Packers win, Cardinals win, Jets win, Cowboys lose...what a terrific Sunday. Add to the fact that the Packers are back in a tie for first and this is great. We're going to need to pull out all the stops we can next week if we want a shot at beating Indy. Oh, AND the Patriots are getting lambasted on SNF.

    WIDE LEFT!!!!!! Packers tied at halftime with the Seahawks. We really need to continue to air it out because their secondary can't handle our wideouts.

    The Cardinals are probably bigger chokers than the Cubs. This is insane.
