  1. Aaand there goes trade bait. Let's be real; Hinrich wasn't going to be traded. I hate to cheer injuries, but I'm not really sad at all that Hinrich's out. That'll help the guard glut when Hughes comes back. Gordon already with 18 at the half. Again, pay this man. Lakers love him. How do they need another guard though? Fisher and Farmar are fine.

  3. I can't wait for the "Demps is fass" post.
  4. Yes. He's not Saban or Meyer, but he's one of the top coaches in the country. My god he's 45-7 or something at LSU. He's had a rough bump this season. Really the big screw up for them this season is lack of a good QB. The Perriloux situation really hurt them. C'mon they took a top five team to OT. theyre fine. they played well. they got outclassed by the best team in the country though, but right now florida would beat anyone like that. I have a feeling that if LSU was in any other conference besides the SEC, you'd be saying something entirely different.
  5. I'm pretty sure that no one on this board thought Miles was an elite coach. He truly makes some boneheaded decisions in close games.
  6. Horry kow.
  7. Hmm, Nittany Thugs? That's bad.
  8. Odd, if I rooted for a Big Ten team, I'd want two BCS teams in my conference for the financial impact to the school I root for. Save me the embarrassment. Everyone knew Penn State wasn't a top 5 team, let alone a top 2-3 team in the nation.
  9. Thankfully we won't see a Big 10 team in the title game this year. Thanks Iowa.
  10. Illinois is just fun bad this year. Losing to WMU is pretty pathetic. The MAC owns Illinois lately. Come on Iowa, win this.
  11. Gotta be one of the next five. Five game home stand coming up, then 6/7 on the road in the WEST. Circus trip for the lose. We play Atlanta and the Pacers next week. I would think those should be wins. We always play Phoenix and Dallas tough at home too for some weird, odd reason, so it wouldn't shock me to see an upset there. Thanks for proving me right. This is a 41-41 team with the roster we have currently, which is more than fine by me. I just want to be competitive in every game and have a shot at the playoffs. Like I said, this is a team that should be good at home but will struggle on the road. It's about as perfect of a .500 team as you're going to find. And we need to pay Gordon. Like I've been touting all offseason long, he is going to work unbelievably well with Rose.
  12. I'm pretty glad Cleveland had that 10 win season last year. I bet the Browns' season so far really just gets under the skin of Cowboys' fans.
  13. TD Utah. How in the world was this game not on a major station?
  14. They tried. But they asked for everything in return for Anderson.
  15. SIU might actually have an offense this year as we scored 87 against "Southwest Baptist," who's supposedly one of the better D-2 teams in the land. However, we also gave up 79 points to them. Very frustrating game. Our 'fab five' freshmen all look extremely talented, but there are going to be a LOT of growing pains in the early going. The Coaches vs Cancer tournament should be interesting because if we beat California (PA) and UMass, we'd play Duke in a couple of weeks. We'll get a good look at how good we are then. I still think we'll peak in conference play and that we'll contend for one of the last at-large berths yet again. At least it was actually exciting to see an up-tempo SIU offense.
  16. Third real team that NIU has played this year and it's the third time where NIU's defense has given up over 28 points. Hey, at least we beat the bad teams though. I knew Ball State was going to win, but NIU was really embarrassed tonight. I was at the NIU-Ball State game last year watching a terrible 2-9 NIU team hang in there with a bowl-bound BSU team in front of about 14 people, so I figured they would at least be motivated to come out and put up a fight tonight. Whoops. Hopefully your boys go undefeated now.

That's not a shock at all. What is a shock is that whenever Gordon has the hot hand and we need offense in the 4th quarter, we never give him the ball and guys like Hinrich, Deng, and Nocioni take some horrid shots. But sure, when Gordon's having a bad game, let's give him the rock in the 4th. That's probably the most frustrating part about the Bulls the last couple of years, and they continue to do it every single game.
  18. So Gordon's been keeping us in this game and we go away from him in the 4th again? Why do we always do this when he's hot? And Luol Deng may be the worst player ever in NBA history to get $70 million over 6 years. Please dump Hinrich and Noc while we're at it too. They're completely useless.
  19. lol, seriously? How are the Packers overrated? Our four losses were to the Cowboys (back when they were 100%), the Bucs, the Falcons (when our whole defense was depleted), and the Titans. Yeah, that's being overrated I guess. Thanks for the laugh. Your victories have been against the vikings, lions, seahawks, and colts. Not a good team in the bunch. Packers are average, like the Bears. No one is saying we're a great team though. It's kind of hard to be overrated when we're not even 'rated.' there were many many many people who considered the Packers the #2 or 3 team in the NFC at the start of the season. Then in week 4, we started to get "what's wrong with the Packers" stories. Yes, people thought the packers were well above average (I don't know about you; they're worse than I expected) and they're not. All Green Bay has to be in the best team in the NFC North and I belive at the end of the year they will be. (and are) What, to lose to a wild card team in the first round? The packers have a great shot at winning the division. that doesn't make them a top NFC team. I think you could lump the Bucs, Panthers, Cardinals, Packers, Bears, Redskins, Eagles, Cowboys, and Falcons as pretty equal teams. The Giants are far better than anyone else in the NFC, but as long as you get to the playoffs, you have a shot to do something. Just look at the Giants last year and their road to winning the Super Bowl. Yeah, I thought we were the 2nd or 3rd best team in the NFC early in the season too, and we still possibly could be. The whole conference is a mess. The only thing that we know is that the Giants are the best team. Everything else is undecided which is going to make this a very interesting final 8 weeks.

  22. Yeah, I don't know why people are freaking out about this. It's a first-year coach with the rookie being the focal point of the team. There are going to be a lot of growing pains this year. And I hate to sound like a know-it-all, but I warned everyone about giving Deng an extension; especially an extension where he's making star money.
  23. get used to it. Unfortunately, we have no choice but to get used to it.
  24. I'm not too optimistic. The Vikings will be gunning for us and it's at that stupid dome. Any QB they have has to be better than T. Jack right? It's Gus Frerotte. I'd call it a push. At least Jackson can make plays with his legs. There were a lot of positives to take away from yesterday's game, even though we didn't win. Besides the big play to Big Mac White, we did a really good job stopping the run. The Vikings are very similar to the Titans on offense where they have two explosive backs and a "game-manager"/bad QB. Rodgers did have those couple mistakes, but there's no question that our passing attack presented a problem to one of the best defenses in the NFL yesterday. And our running game appears to getting back on track as Grant ran for about 4.5 YPC. Don't forget that this was around the time last year when we finally got our running game going. It'll be close, but I'm optimistic. Something like a 24-21 score sounds about right.
  25. Oh, I can also totally seeing Jacksonville being the first team to lose to Detroit this year. They're going to mail it in.
