  1. Good god, let's at least wait until some of the prospects are called up and are playing for the major league team before we crucify Theo.
  2. What's the percentage that Morin actually plays in Game 1? 10%?
  3. Might as well do this. Packers.
  4. Yes it is. The Bulls can certainly beat the Pacers as it stands right now, but there's no chance the Heat lose to the Nets.
  5. Hopefully people won't freak out when the Hawks (inevitably) lose some games leading into the playoffs. I still trust this team at full strength more than any other team in the league.
  6. That's a huge jump up from Buzz Williams. Damn, what a get that would be for Marquette.
  7. MD Jennings is really bad. He was the worst player on a defense that was pretty bad last year. He literally does nothing well. And yet, he is almost certainly better than both the dudes who have started for the Bears for the last 3-4 years... some elite units. At the very least, he's no worse. I think he's comparable to both Conte and Wright. The Packers safeties were almost as bad as the Bears safeties last year. Jennings is really just a special teamer and he would be okay for depth purposes, but he really doesn't have any business being a starter on opening day. That 148.8 QB rating against Jennings last year in coverage is...not good.
  8. MD Jennings is really bad. He was the worst player on a defense that was pretty bad last year. He literally does nothing well.
  9. With as well as Memphis has played recently, I think the Suns are going to be the team in the West that's sitting at home come playoff time. Would you really give the COY award to a team that didn't even make the playoffs? That's not going to happen. Thibs or Casey should win the COY. I understand that the East is dreadful but the Bulls lost their best player and then traded their third best player, while getting nothing in return. GarPax didn't say it in black and white, but they basically admitted they were tanking. The Raptors have went from a laughingstock to a top 4 team in the conference. Again, I understand that the East is worse than incest but I'd have to think you need to make the playoffs to win the COY.
  10. The Manziel = Romo comparison seems way off to me. I don't think of those two as anything like each other. Really? I actually think that's a pretty good comparison for Manziel.
  11. My god, this was eight years ago already.
  12. I have to admit, I find it pretty amusing at people who have actually been freaking out the last week to two weeks about this team. Oh no, they might have to go on the road for a series in the playoffs! How will they ever win? During last year's run, the Hawks did a pretty damn good job of winning extremely important road games: Game 4 at Minnesota Game 6 at Detroit Game 4 at LA Game 4 and 6 at Boston Outside of losing Game 4 at Detroit, the Hawks won just about every extremely important road playoff game they had. For some reason, I have full confidence in this team to get it done on the road if that's what needs to happen. Until proven otherwise, I'm not scared of any other team in the league. Unless the Hawks go on like a 9 game losing streak, the regular season doesn't mean a thing this year. Fast forward to April, please.
  13. You're fine. FWIW I was curious and did find it though... http://www.northsidebaseball.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=52384&start=800 I'm just being a [expletive] because I hate today is all. Haha. Yeah, I don't really know what was going on there but... Hey, I was right about Forte and Olsen!
  14. 10 months hiatus just to come back and post about GB. Haha. He's certainly more level-headed than 50% of the posters in most Bears game threads. I can't believe its been that long but yeah, I've been out of the message board loop in general for quite some time. I don't think I've ever been an [expletive] on a Bears-Packers thread. When the Bears beat the Packers in 2008, the Packers were already eliminated from the playoff race. If I acted like an idiot after that game, I apologize because I don't really know why I would've cared about a game that had no magnitude riding on it for the Packers.
  15. That's the most likely scenario but if the Saints are the 5 seed, I'd think that either the Packers or Bears would beat them outside.
  16. How can the reward be greater than the risk? Still a long shot to win a Superbowl (may be underdogs in the 1st round if they win). If they're just going to win 1 game, I don't see how that's work risking 2014 for. I'm under the assumption that with a healthy Rodgers, the Packers can compete with any team in the league. Yes, the defense is obviously not very good but with a healthy Rodgers and a healthy Lacy, they have the ability to beat anybody on offense. With as cautious as the Packers medical staff has been over the last half dozen years, I'd have to think that he's just about at 100% as far as his healing goes.
  17. I'll be honest -- I'm going to be scared every time he gets knocked down on Sunday. I think the reward is greater than the risk though, especially after nearly two months of the injury occurring.
  18. I can't believe how good Crawford has been this year. I know it's early, but that's been the biggest surprise of the year so far. I think a lot of us said it last year. As long as the Hawks had an average to above average goalie in net, they'd be pretty damn good. Crawford's played really well so far this year and they already have 22 points out of a possible 24.
  19. I'm not a fan of that proposed trade at all.
  20. I disagree. I think the black jerseys are some of the best in the league.
  21. I don't get it either. I'd have no issue at all rooting for the Bears if the situations were reversed.
  22. Yea. I think we need SF to win tonight for that game to matter to GB, IIRC. No, Seattle winning tonight would be much more beneficial for the Packers.
  23. If the Niners win tonight, that game next Sunday will basically be meaningless for the Packers. There's no chance that the Niners lose at home to Arizona next weekend.
  24. How have the Titans won games this year? Jake Locker is terrible. Sorry, dew.
