    SIU won on senior night tonight and with a little help from Bradley and UNI, we got the 5th seed in the MVC Tournament. Wow is the Valley bad or what this year. Just a couple of days ago, we were 9th and everyone thought for sure we'd be playing in the play-in round on Thursday. Now with two wins in a row, we have ourselves in the favorable part of the bracket as we play Bradley on Friday and we avoid ISU/Creighton until the title game (if we were to make it that far). What a crazy year. I'm just hoping this team does what Illinois did last year and has a good tournament (make it to the championship game at least) and build some confidence for next year.

    Deng supposedly has a stress fracture. Blessing in disguise, IMO. If we play well without Deng, I think the front office will realize that he needs to be shipped in the summer. Plus Salmons is better than Deng anyway, so we won't lose anything from a production standpoint. Great comeback tonight, but this team is soooo frustrating. You defeat Orlando and Houston but then you lose to New Jersey and Washington? I expect this team to blow one in a couple of days against Charlotte as well.

    Supposedly the Bucs are already in talks with the Chiefs to try to land Thigpen, so take that for what it's worth. I think it's a good deal for KC.

    How can this team compete with the good teams in the league but then fail time and time again against some of the worst? That has to come down on coaching, right? This is putrid. The defensive 'effort' the whole game has been a complete joke.

    Mark, I think we should take Everette Brown out of FSU. With Kampman playing 50% of the snaps at one of the OLB spots, that opens up a DE spot on the three down linemen. I think Brown would be able to compliment Cullen Jenkins extremely well in the pass rush. Okrapo would have been my choice if he was still on the board, but I think Brown makes a lot of sense for us as well. Let's see what you have to say.

    Well our defense and Huet sure laid an egg in the 3rd. But our offense hasn't been anything either this period. This game screams all kinds of bad from every point of view.

    Tim Thomas actually had a real nice 4th quarter helping us pad the lead. I'm impressed. Pretty good beatdown of the third best team in the East. Now watch us throw up a clunker or two against two should-be W's in New Jersey and Washington.

    This is pretty pathetic. Refs or not, Huet shouldn't allow 4 goals to Nashville (including three in the 3rd).

    Damn it, I'm a moron. Second time I've reached 9 wins in a row and it's the second time I fail to get my 10th in a row; all because I got too greedy. I picked Golden State over the Clippers, fully knowing that Monta Ellis was out. Still, I thought they would've been able to handle the dreadful Clips. Time to make some silly soccer guesses to help build my streak up again..

    More than anything, I think the writing is on the wall for Hinrich to be traded. Really the only team that I could see taking Gordon for more than $7 million a year would be Oklahoma City. Paxson made it sound like in his presser that he was going to do whatever he could do to bring Gordon back. I'd much rather have the guard rotation be Rose, Gordon, and Salmons than Rose, Hinrich, and Salmons. I think Paxson realizes this too. I really soured on him in the last couple of years, but his last two deadlines - especially this one - have been outstanding.

    SIU, lol. First time I've ever left a game early; with six minutes left to boot. Just embarrassing. I miss the days when we never used to lose at home. Now our rival is kicking our ass by 20 without a problem.

    That's the man that needs the ball in the crunch. That's a huge comeback win for a team that's been playing pretty decent lately. As far as the Amare situation goes, I'm in the half and half camp of what Paxson's thinking right now. Part of me believes that he won't want to depart with Tyrus because of how exceptional he's played lately, but part of me also thinks that he needs to pull something to land a superstar here to make sure this team makes the playoffs.

    Yeah that's exactly what I thought when Nelson went down. Hinrich would be an excellent fit on the Magic. Then they trade Bogans for Lue today, so I don't know what they're going to do. On another note, Dallas looks really awful tonight. Deron and Millsap are doing whatever they feel like doing.

    I don't think there's any question that the Steelers are probably my most hated AFC team now.

    This was ridiculous. what is? That they didn't review it. And that nobody even talked about it in the postgame. gotcha. i thought you meant my post for a second. i also was hoping it would be addressed by one of the 14 people on nbc's postgame show but i couldn't take too much of it and turned it off. I could barely stomach any of that, but in the bit that I saw, they didn't even mention that. Horrible.

    Yeah, I was about to say something about that too. Makes me even more embarrassed that a complete idiot just dominated the Cards defense that final drive.

    Packers and Cardinals fan? Yeah after they got us into the playoffs in 2003, they've always been my 2nd team. And it's called a booth review in the final two minutes in a half. That makes sense. That's two painful finishes to the last two seasons for you then. That sucks. I'm starting to get used to it now. Last year was far worse though.
