After going 0-300 in Big East play in the regular season, DePaul is about to upset Cincinnati in the first round of the Big East Tournament. That came out of nowhere.

Packers can do a couple of things here. Larry English is still on the board and he could be another 3-4 hybrid guy. After his combine though, he's more of a down lineman on the 3-4 because his times weren't spectacular for a LB. With our draft pick of Everette Brown in the first round, I think English could play more on the line and then you can have Brown be one of the rushing OLB's. A front seven of English-Pickett-Jenkins-Brown-Barnett-Hawk-Kampman sounds real good. If you don't want to do that, you could also pick an OT to help bring into the fold because Clifton isn't getting any younger and Tauscher has been injury-prone the last few seasons, not to mention he's getting up there in years too. William Beatty from UConn makes a lot of sense to me. Those are my two ideas. Let's here what you have, Mark.

They are, but you have to keep ISU at bay. After all, a good chunk of their fans believe that they should be in the Big 12. wait, iowa state is in the big 12? since when? The ISU I was talking about was Illinois State. Probably should've made that clearer when I was responding to a post regarding an Iowa school. Illinois St. fans are delusional though.

The clock operator throughout this whole tournament has been horrid.

When he's on, it doesn't matter how tough your defense is. Is it a good thing that he seems to be the only one shooting? Yeah, he's making shots, but ultimately, somebody else is going to have to come through for them to win. Otherwise, he's going to start taking bad shots. He's on fire so you have to keep feeding him the ball.

If they defeat tOSU, I think they'll make it with two wins in the Big Ten Tournament. Otherwise, they probably have to win the tournament to get in.

Well at least it's going to overtime. Prediction: Iowa jumps out to a 6 point lead with two minutes left in the extra frame before Penn State somehow comes back and wins by 1.

Yeah, Creighton salvaged a possible at-large berth with that win tonight. But the clock operator at Scottrade didn't start the clock on the last inbounds play in time which allowed Woodfox to get that last shot off. The season from hell for SIU ended today. We started out by leading Bradley 17-9 before Bradley promptly went on one of the fastest 19-1 runs I've ever seen. I'm so glad this season is over. Hopefully the young guys get some more learning under their belts for next year, Tony Freeman comes in and does a good job, and the JUCO's that we land contribute right away. Oh well...go Illini now.

Sorry about the delay guys. Went to the ugly SIU-Bradley game and then drove north for four more hours to go back home for break. I know how annoyed I get when people take forever to make their picks, so I apologize for any hold-ups. As far as McCoy goes, I really like what he has to offer. I'm a huge Moreno fan though and if he's still on the board at 31 in the real draft, I think Arizona takes him. The only thing that concerns me about Beanie is his durability but I think he has a chance to be a real good NFL back as well. But regardless, any of those three backs would be a huge upgrade over what Arizona has right now.

This is a real simple choice for me. Arizona didn't really have much of a running game until the playoffs, but Edgerrin James wants to be cut, JJ Arrington went to Denver, and I don't believe Tim Hightower can handle a full workload by himself. Arizona needs a running back in the worst way possible. Unfortunately, Moreno and Beanie were both taken right before this pick but I'll say Arizona selects LeSean McCoy out of Pitt. I'd like to hear what CFNBM says.

Only seven players really got any minutes tonight. This team plays a lot better short-handed. -
Denver and Cutler will settle it out IMO. I think the Broncos realize they can't trade Cutler simply because there's no other QB's out there for them to go after. And Housh going somewhere outside of Minnesota is a huge break for the rest of the NFC North.

Sage is a turnover machine, but Housh with the Vikings would make me nervous.
