  1. oh, are they in the tournament? i seem to recall someone predicting that they would be. They won't be for long, I hope.
  2. I agree with Goff though. Rose can get to the cup anytime he wants. I was watching the game against the Bucks about a week and a half ago and whenever he wanted to drive on Sessions, he could get two points at will. Why he doesn't do that more often, I have no idea. Rose needs to become more selfish because he definitely has the talent to be a top 10 player in the league. It's really not that simple. I mean, if it was, Kobe and LeBron would average 60 points a game. I was exaggerating a bit, but he needs to be more aggressive and less unselfish. I remember people were saying the same things about LBJ his rookie year too and he obviously learned quite well.
  3. I thought you wanted them out of Chicago?

  5. Yup at home this team is completely different. I dont know what it is and apparently they dont either, cause they are horrific on the road. Coaching is the only logical explanation. Del Negro doesn't get this team up when they face teams that they should handle easily.
  6. It shouldn't be? I'm more worried about the likes of Oklahoma City, Washington, and Toronto than Boston, Cleveland, Orlando, and the Lakers.
  7. On the other hand: -Ted Lilly giving up long bombs -Fukucopters True but the most important of those four points was that Wright got a clutch hit sending us to the semis. So by that logic, this whole thing is a farce.
  8. There's a couple of reasons that prove the WBC isn't important: -Javy Vazquez pitching well in a 'big game' on Saturday. -David Wright getting a clutch hit.
  9. Expect Deng to be remarkably healed very soon. Or maybe he is too soft to come back even when his starting spot is in danger. Is there any chance of getting rid of his contract this offseason? Supposedly he's going to go against the team's orders and play for Great Britain this offseason in the world championships. If that happens, I think they're going to ship him out no matter what.
  10. Patty Mills has 17 points in the first 14 minutes.
  11. Salmons and Miller have been monsters tonight. If we're going to win, we're going to have to get at least one huge stop on the other end though.
  12. I'm more concerned with Columbus passing the Hawks and then having to face Calgary We are undefeated against Calgary this year though and I don't think any of those games were particularly close. That was also when we were good Calgary in the playoffs would be a significantly tougher draw than Vancouver Well with the way we're playing right now, it wouldn't matter who we'd be up against. That said, I don't really see a huge difference in playing Vancouver compared to Calgary besides losing HIA in the first round.
  13. if so, i'm crazy. kansas is mainly young guys, nd state is mainly seniors. nd state is going to be the "home" team, what with most of their players being from the minneapolis area. that's my logic, and i'm sticking to it. of course, all that's out the window if the kid from chicago (sharon collins or something?) goes off. I don't see how NDSU can match up with Aldrich. They might keep it close for a while but I see Kansas pulling away in the 2nd half.

  15. So when Vancouver wins tonight, we'll be tied for 4th. Ugh.
  16. It's more of a joke than anything but a few friends and myself decided to make an NIT pool with the entry being $1. It'd be nice to come up with $10. I have a final four of St. Mary's, Virginia Tech, Notre Dame and Miami with Notre Dame winning it all.
  17. I have Clemson in the Elite Eight. That team is too talented to not only beat Michigan but to give Oklahoma a good run in the 2nd round. As for Illinois I don't have them beating Gonzaga, especially with the game at Portland. I'm not worried about the WKU game at all though.
  18. the only upset anyone has in the first round is a team that lost by 30 to murray state beating illinois. I really don't see it happening with WKU's tallest player being 6'9. Mike and Mike should have huge games.
  19. Temple's my sleeper Sweet 16 team this year.
  20. I don't remember who won, but looking at my stats from last year, I was 2nd out of 54 in the orginal pick'em and then 2nd of 13 in the second chance pool. Hopefully I can one up that this year.
  21. I think SDSU has the most to complain about. Earlier in the week, Lunardi and others were saying how if they were to beat UNLV in the conference tournament at Vegas, they'd be in. They beat UNLV by 15 then beat BYU in the semis and played Utah all the way to the end yesterday. Their resume looked better than Creighton's and St. Mary's and had better success in their conference tournament (in a tougher conference) than those two teams. Otherwise, I have no quarrels with the selection committee this year.
  22. That's a whole lot of puke. Green Bay all the way.
  23. I'm going to go with UNC, UConn, Wake, and Villanova for my Final Four.
  24. I'm not that worried about this team at all. They've rebounded well from these sort of stretches all year long and I don't think that's going to change. The only thing that concerns me about the Hawks right now is the play at home. They have to play more inspired. The last couple of games, it just seems like they've been sleepwalking until they give up a couple of goals. When they wake up, it's too late to come back.
