Murderer's Row, eh? Since the Cards have acquired Holliday, this is how many runs they've scored in each of their games: 8, 6, 2, 6, 10, 3 (15 innings), 3 (10 innings), 4, 3, 0, 12 (10 innings), 0. By comparison, let's look at what the Cubs have done since July 24: 8, 5, 5, 5 (13 innings), 6, 12, 12, 2, 9 (10 innings), 2, 4, 6. I'm not a math major but even I can figure out that the Cards have averaged 4.5 runs/game since they have acquired Holliday while the Cubs have averaged 6.3 runs per game in that span. The Cards have been shut out twice in that span and they've had some issues offensively over the past week or so besides last night. As Denny Green would say, don't go about crowning the Cardinals ass just yet.
