  1. lol. That's what you get for walking David Eckstein. Idiot.
  2. Nothing like walking David Eckstein in front of their only legitimate hitter.
  3. It was Charlie Haeger against Chris Carpenter. I figured this would've happened but the Cards were just messing with us for most of the game.
  4. Anyone else think that sequence where Lou brought in Marmol was pretty humorous?
  5. Mike Fontenot sort of sucks at baseball.
  6. Tom Cable just screams idiot to me.
  7. People take track seriously? It's practice for real sports. It's one of my favorite summer olympic sports.
  8. Now this is a guy that I really hope is clean. I don't think anyone would take track seriously anymore if Bolt came out and tested for some sort of PED.
  9. This. Problem is SP's are always in extremely high demand on the market, so I doubt that'll happen.
  10. I predicted he'd be back after two-a-days ended. Maybe it will be a little later, but I still think he'll be there sometime this season. LOL, speak for yourself, AC. Yeah, really. goony was right with the timing. I thought he'd come back a little later in the year as soon as the Vikes had a QB controversy. Why else would he still continue to work out after he said he was "retired?" The guy's the definition of a douche.
  11. I disagree that it's unfortunate, since it ensures that the Cubs don't lose an off day. I'd expect the day-night DH earlier in the series, though, to provide some flexibility in the event of bad weather then. Good point.
  12. Guys, it's fine. The Wild Card is still easily within reach. We just have to take care of business against the Padres like the Cards did the next three days.
  13. I think I'm going to start thinking Wild Card.
  14. Pirates come into town Sept 29-Oct 1. I'm going to guess that the game's going to be made up as part of a DH on October 1st. Cubs are off on the 28th of September, but unfortunately the Pirates have the last game of a wrap-around series against LA then.
  15. I like Tiger but I was pulling for Yang to finally end his streak. That shot that he drilled for an eagle was disgusting.
  16. That's exactly why I wanted to have this game rained out. We get to play the Pirates (more than likely) down the stretch, which could be pivotal. You'll find no complaints at all from me.
  17. If the 2008 was a better team than 2007, how, exactly, has it gotten "progressively worse"? What? I said LOU has gotten progressively worse, not the team. You do realize a manager doesn't really make that much of a difference, right?
  18. The year before that draft, people were saying Brohm could've been the #1 pick in the draft. Yeah, that's not happening. When you go 3/10 with 2 picks and 18 yards against mainly third stringers, you should begin to figure out a different profession. That was really the only negative I had though. The first string offense was on target and the defense did look pretty good even though seven key guys weren't dressed.
  19. I think Game 4 was better than Game 6, but that's just me.
  20. That was cool to see Tyrell Sutton have a game like that. Brian Brohm sucks. What a waste of a second round pick.
  21. Can't really take anything away from this defensively, though. Like 7 of our guys that are supposed to be starting on opening day aren't playing tonight.
