  1. Well especially considering the guy who said it was a healthy scratch for the final couple of games. It's definitely a dumb thing to say considering the source and considering Pronger's going to be a Hall of Famer. Oh well.
  2. I think they should too.
  3. I love Burish to death but it'd be nice if he could play as well as he talks. He's always good for an awesome quote like that, but wow.
  4. One of the best nights of my life. We drove to Wrigleyville about an hour after we won it and the scene there was absolutely surreal. I wish we went to the airport to meet the team there, but oh well. The parade's going to make up for that tomorrow. Clinching in Philly, especially the way in which we won, made that moment all the more special. I still can't believe we won the Stanley Cup. WE WON THE STANLEY CUP!
  5. Never was a big Conan fan anyway.
  6. lol, the Sox took Ozzie's kid. Also the Reds drafted UNI two sport star Lucas O'Rear in the 13th round.
  7. Me too. He has to be our number one guy right now.
  8. there's a lot to like about that .500 OPS You can't trade him for Adrian Gonzalez, though.
  9. I was disappointed but the reports sound mildly surprising, so I'll have to wait and see. The MLB Network guys absolutely couldn't believe that we took Simpson at 16. I remember how everyone (including myself) ridiculed the Cashner pick and it's looking like he's going to turn out ok. Hopefully the same happens here.
  10. He might at some point but with the team he has coming back for the upcoming season, it wouldn't be a wise choice for him to leave this season. I think he knows that too.
  11. Foul shots were 41 to 26 in favor of LA. And if you take away several late free throws at the end of the game, it's even more lopsided. I'm not really sure how the refs gave an assist to the Celtics in this one.
  12. Unless you have a Shawn Kemp 1996 Finals performance, you're not going to be in a discussion to win the series MVP if you're on the losing team. Pronger's minus five tonight definitely takes him out of the running anyway, if the Hawks win it all. I still think Toews will win it but that's a question I posed after the game too. If I had to make a list, I'd say it's Toews followed by Buff, Niemi, and then Kane. It's pretty tough though. Like I said before the game, I think this thing ends in six. The guys certainly sounded like they need to score first on Wednesday night to put all sorts of pressure on the Flyers. That's the right attitude to have. I'm optimistic.
  13. Nervous, nervous, nervous. Ugh.
  14. I share that sentiment. Thibs was my number one realistic option this time around and I'm glad we got him.
  15. That's my guy who writes that blog. Good stuff as usual. I agree with UMFan. I don't see this series going past six games. Whoever wins tonight will clinch it on Wednesday.
  16. I just want to sleep for the next couple of days. I can't handle too much more of this.
  17. Can we petition that the people holding Game 5 tickets just give away their tickets to fans that will actually get behind the team and make supportive noise for the Hawks? I would like to stray far away from what happened during Game 1 and Game 2 of the NLDS in 2008.
  18. lol this last page is just funny. I thought I was overreacting after the loss. Just find a way to win tonight and everything is fine. Otherwise, I'll be right alongside all of you guys that are massively panicking. We don't want a sane and rational person like myself to be panicking, do we?
  19. He didn't have a prayer on that shot.
  20. who sits? Burish or Kopecky Burish should but it'll probably be Kopecky that ends up sitting.
  21. It's not time to overreact that much by messing with your lines. Put Ladd in but don't change anything else.
  22. I realize I'm overreacting, at least. But besides the third period of Game 1 and that 28 second flurry in Game 2, we really haven't looked all that great in any of these games. There was a little bit of a stretch today as well, but that 3rd period that we put out today was sickening. As long as we win on Friday, it's fine. I don't want to think about the other possibility. Plus, let's be honest. This series wasn't going to end on Versus, right?
