  1. I shouldn't be laughing at that as much as I am. Well played, sir.
  2. Three wins in a row constitutes a winning streak. We look to make it four in a row against NL favorite Philadelphia at Citizens Bank Park tomorrow evening. Former Cub legend Jamie Moyer (old enough to be Tom Gorzelanny's grandfather) will be on the hill for the Phillies. CBP has not been kind to the Cubs in recent years but hopefully another one of these weird two game sets changes our fortunes a little. Starlin Castro watch: .350/.422/.500 Go Blackhawks.
  3. Neither of the conference finals will make it past five games. Boring.
  4. Again, I absolutely love that first line.
  5. My team. im talkin about that versus girl. i always forget her name Oh I know. I called her first though. Charissa Thompson.
  6. WHERE THE [expletive] IS THE PENALTY ON THAT?
  7. youre so behind. you must be watching an online feed Yep. No VS.
  8. Nearly 75 minutes of penalty-free hockey. That's impossible. Ladd says [expletive] you to the refs.
  9. wayyyyyyyyyyyy too much time in our own zone right now.
  10. For some reason, the schedule makers decided back-to-back two game sets would be a great idea. Our collective bunch of champions will try to "sweep" the Rockies and head to Philadelphia riding a gigantic three game winning streak before yet another idiotic two game series. Starlin Castro watch: .361/.439/.528 Oh, and Carlos Silva is undefeated. Let's hope that oddity continues for another day.
  11. Well that's tremendous to see. Hopefully that gets him going in the right direction.
  12. Now that I look at it more closely, maybe not. I somehow was forgetting about Gibson. Still though, they'd be pretty close. Factoring in that if they get the first pick they could potentially use Harris in a trade package or even a sign & trade for Bosh, they could be markedly better (disclaimer, I have no idea if that would work cap space wise or money matching). Harris in a sign & trade is infinitely more attractive than Luol Deng in a sign & trade. It just comes down to a few things. Playing in Newark for 3 years v Chicago. Playing second fiddle to the Knicks. Playing with a big man who demands shots to be valuable (an admittedly weak point considering LeBron's willingness to defer) as opposed to playing with one who doesn't and is much more active defensively, much bigger hustle factor. Playing with Derrick Rose (sure thing) v John Wall (not quite a sure thing). John Calipari not necessarily wanting to go back to NJ if the package deals are to be believed. That's the big thing for me. Does LeBron really want to play there for three years? I'm thinking no.
  13. Though I agree that Washington wasn't as well-rounded as many were led to believe, I still think Montreal has had the most difficult road in the playoffs. But that's what happens when you're an 8 seed. There's no reason to believe this team can't be good for the next decade. You're still going to have your main components to the team for the next ten seasons. With the way this team has drafted recently, I don't think the loss of depth in this offseason would be that big of a deal to overcome. You have guys like Bickell and Skille that are basically NHL-ready right now. As stated earlier, we don't really have any big players in our farm system but there's a lot of depth there that we can fill our 3rd and 4th lines with. I'm really not concerned at all about what happens in the offseason. Let's just enjoy the ride we're on right now and worry about all of that after the season ends.
  14. Cup but that's really tough. I want both, damn it.
  15. But he was born and raised there and while that might not be a factor with most people, it is with him. LeBron is a creature of habit and that habit is the city of Cleveland. Maybe he'll re-sign, maybe he won't, but those last days in Cleveland did not do any favors for Cavs on getting him to re-sign. Like most tho, I believe he had a foot out the door, and that Cleveland is no better at getting him then Chicago, Miami, or NY (I don't think NJ will be a factor). Is there any chance that LeBron takes less money so the Bulls or any other team can sign him and another top free agent? No. But I think there's definitely a chance you'd see guys like Ray Allen and some of those other types of players taking less money to play with one of the bigger free agents this season.
  16. I think Philly's going to win this series, but I expect a much better effort from Montreal on Tuesday.
  17. If people truly believe LeBron will take away from Rose's game, what would he do if he was on the same team as Wade? I really don't think LeBron's going to want to be paired up with Wade.
  18. After finally defeating the mighty Pittsburgh Pirates, our Cubs now face the daunting task of the extremely average Colorado Rockies. I prefer winning rather than losing, so let's get it done.
  19. How about winning a game on the road where the Sharks had no penalties? Awesome afternoon today, boys. Niemi was fantastic.
  20. That would have been a horrible end to the period. Tied after 40 minutes and we've been shorthanded for eight more minutes than the Sharks. Can we please get a power play?
  21. We're dominating play right now.
