No and definitely no. I rooted for the Celtics both times they played the Lakers and wouldn't have a problem doing it again. I'll be a huge Boston fan if they're playing Miami in the playoffs.

look I completely agree with the Angelo hate in general and because of this statement, but in his defense, I don't think the Bears picked up Adams expecting him to be a big contributor that year. They hoped he could, which is why they made a trade in season for him instead of waiting until the offseason when he might have been cut, but I think they were more or less thinking long term with that trade with Ogunleye becoming a FA after the year. But then he randomly died so... That doesn't defend why they gave up a 2nd rounder for him.

That's one thing I should've mentioned after the Oilers game. This team is just boring. They don't dominate the puck like they used to and it's almost like they play Eastern Conference style hockey. I know I've been ripping on the defensemen for their horrible play and bad turnovers, but the forwards deserve a lot of blame too for not controlling the puck as much as they did in the past couple of seasons. Hey, Keith was -4 and Sharp was a -5 last night. Anytime Keith wants to wake up and remember he's good at hockey (as well as Toews, Kane, Seabrook, and Hammer) would be just cool with me.

I was on that bandwagon, but then I heard on Comcast last night that the Hawks are only 1 GB last years pace at this point. Not saying we're as good as last years team, but it tells me that 14 games isnt a definite look at how good you'll be through 50 games or 80 games. We had a ridiculous circus trip last season too where I think we only lost one game on it. Bottom line is we need to start beating teams at home, like New Jersey, that we should beat.

Sure seems like he's done that in every big game he's had over the last 12 years or so.

Even with that horrendous 4th line tonight, we have no business losing to the Devils. If we do, I'll start to think that it's going to be a battle just to make the playoffs this season.

So what are you suggesting? That he and the trainers were faking the injury for some reason but immediately thought to cover the chin and make up a story that his chin was bleeding and required stitches? Then put makeup on him later to look like stitches? I can't speak for jersey, but I'm suggesting that Favre is a bloodless undead creature. Whoever said it earlier in the thread is correct. Sounds like Al Harris is going to play this week. We cut DE Michael Montgomery to make room for one of the PUP guys and it sounded like Harris could've played last week against the Jets. Bigby is expected to be activated before Monday too but probably won't play on Sunday night. A corner rotation with Harris as the nickel and Shields as the dime sounds really good to me.

Villanova makes quite a bit of sense to move straight up into the Big East. Besides their other affiliations with the conference in other sports, they've been one of the best FCS programs the last few years. Other former FCS schools in the Big East, such as USF and UConn, have made the transition quite smoothly.

We didn't want Favre to retire at all, originally. I think practically begging him to come back basically defeats that point. And UMFan is dead on about his mannerisms. I didn't even realize I was making fun of them until earlier this season and of course, I never really mentioned that when he was throwing TD's with us.

It happens. If it would have been Sandberg or Sosa or someone who did the same thing that Favre did only to end up in St. Louis just to stick it to us, Cubs fans would have felt the same way. What did Favre do? GB wanted him to retire, right? False. When Favre initially started having second thoughts about coming back, McCarthy and Thompson immediately got on a plane to fly to Mississippi to meet with him. IIRC, this was a week before the draft in 2008. Favre told both of them that he was officially done when they were out there and that was that. We drafted Flynn and Brohm (lol) and the rest was history. We only wanted him to retire after it was evident that he wanted to come back in July of that year because we moved on and there was no chance of him coming back to us. I remember at the time, most Packers fans (including myself) were absolutely irate that they were choosing to go the other way and not back to Favre. The first year when he was with the Jets, I think he still had a somewhat high approval rating in Green Bay. It wasn't until the following offseason where the hate came in when it was evident that he wanted to go to Minnesota all along just to stick it to the entire organization. When he finally retires for good, I think most Packers fans will embrace him again and elect to forget about the final three years of his career, as long as he doesn't win anything with Minnesota this season.

He was all right, but the Rangers just had better scoring chances compared to the Hawks. Defensive breakdowns led to all three of the Rangers goals. That's getting extremely old. Meanwhile, guys like Kopecky and Toews were shooting the puck right into Lundqvist's chest and pads whenever they had chances.

Deng loved it. Great win last night. That was a nice, easy win over a pretty good team.
