  1. Tevin Campbell may be the best RB in the nation who isn't suspended. Hes so good.
  2. Bostic or Jones on the weak side? [expletive]. This team is a disaster health wise and it's only 5 games in. That's the sucky part. There will be more injuries and probably more serious ones. Only 1 on long-term IR.
  3. So, is JJ Watt a once in a generation type player? I feel like we are watching Reggie White, Lawrence Taylor, etc. If he continues what he's done this year (and this is his 2nd HoF level season in 3 years) he's going to be one of the top DL ever to play this game.
  4. Atlanta could be a good fit for him if Smith gets bounced, offense is in place already I don't see the owner wanting a Rex type of coach, but I think he would be a good fit Yeah, i was trying to think of a reason why Rex just didn't work there for me in my head. But I couldn't come up with any. Something about it just doesn't work right to me. I could see Oakland being a good match. He could get some players out there to want to play for him. He has worked with young QBs. I don't think Jacksonville has a new coach for a while. I really like Bradley there.
  5. I don't think anyone is worked up about them. I just don't like them and would prefer they just end in ties rather than awarding points based on a skills competition. Look. He's doing it again!
  6. Who do they play? Foles has been horrible lately. I might go with the hot hand in Eli, depending on who's playing the lesser pass defense. They're playing each other. I might go Foles given the Eagles' score-happy defense. Neither is a great option. Yeah, I'd probably go Foles too.

  8. I'd probably keep Miller and Johnson. I think those 2 are legit starters who you can keep in your lineup most weeks, and Ben Tate could get to that level if he stays healthy. Meanwhile, you only get Gronk as a no question starter. I wouldn't do it. Edit: also you're 5-0. Don't mess with it. Don't overthink it.
  9. 4-1 in one league, 17 points away from the first place team who's also 4-1. We are playing each other this week, winner probably has a good shot to win his money back as regular season winner (though there is another 4-1 team that I lost to by 1.2 points). Anyway, I have Andrew Luck. Very happy with 370 yards, 3 TDs from him. 29+ points. He has Arian Foster, who matched Luck's 29 points. And in this league we have individual defensive players, and he took the 1st IDP in JJ Watt. 7 tackles, 3 batted passes, 2 sacks, fumble recovery and a TD. 19.75 points. He was favored by 3 points according to projections, but had 2 players outscore their projection by 12 points yesterday. Luck exceeded his projection by 7. Oh and I have Calvin Johnson in this league.
  10. Did anybody other than Hendry and Fleita ever pump Kelton as a pure hitter? I don't recall BA or the greater scouting world ever being as buzzed about his hitting as Hendry was. i think it was more that he had a "sweet swing" than he was a "pure hitter." Yeah, one of the prettier RH swings I've ever seen at the minor league level.
  11. That was a very Blackhawks regular season game, except they actually won a shootout!
  12. They could play it if the scheme is 1-gap. No OLBs on the roster though. You'd think Rex could coach 4-3 considering his dad did it to perfection.
  13. The Falcons have a horrible, horrible defense. The Bears will score at least 30. They are terrified of the Bears offense. According to DVOA, Atlanta's defense is ranked 28th in the league. Carolina's is ranked 27th and we scored 24 so...I don't think we'll have a problem moving the ball but are we going to shoot ourselves in the foot repeatedly like we have the last 2 weeks? The Bears offense seems angry enough to start making plays and stop shooting themselves in the foot. I wouldn't be surprised if this is the game that the Bears offense finally puts it all together and scores more than 30. My worry is that Matt Ryan at home lights up the scoreboard and doesn't lose much in the dome. They've scored 37 (in OT) and 56 in 2 home games this year. Exactly, and while they did get lit up by the Saints, in their most recent home game they allowed something like 220 yards and 14 garbage time points to the Bucs. Obviously the Bears are significantly more talented than the Bucs on offense, but its clear this team plays better at home. Tampa was down 35-0 before they even knew what happened. They were without their starting RB and their QB got hurt in the game. McCoy also missed on defense. That game is an anomaly for that defense. That being said, the offense in the dome is very real. Bears won't win if they don't score 30, and may lose even if they do.

  15. I definitely think there's levels. Ratliff obviously had a pretty bad one, he's going to miss at least 3 games with his concussion. Vontaze Burfict is going to miss his 4th game probably this week. There are plenty of players that haven't missed games after a concussion. So, some appear to not be as severe as others. I don't know that I would call any of them "minor" though, I guess.
  16. McClellin is not going to play. I think Briggs has a better chance of going than Bostic, which sucks. Going to guess McClellin, Bushrod, Dixon, Bostic, Conte and Garza all miss. Boggs gets cut and sent to the practice squad as a LB is added to the roster (Terrell Manning).
  17. Albert Pujols comp
  18. I think 2 is the biggest concern. The Cubs will have a ton of players with less than a year of service time being counted on to provide production with the bat and on the mound. Obviously, they can't lose Rizzo or Arrieta any more than they were without both this year. But how the Cubs balance the potential underperformance of Baez, Alcantara, Bryant, and maybe even Castro, Soler, and 3rd OF with having contingency plans ready to play is going to be key. 2015 is probably not going to be the year, but I think this is the key offseason to make sure 2016 is.
  19. I don't know. I don't think he had to help Ola out as much as he thought he did. I think a lack of practice really hurt him. The Panthers were stunting on the left side and frankly he missed a bunch of blocks with the defender going inside of him, while Ola did alright. That's just with my naked eye on an internet feed. I posted after the game that I thought Slauson was really bad. This confirms that.
  20. Damn. I saw he was put on IR and didn't know why. That's like the worst possible reason.
  21. What are you talking about? Heh.
  22. Good. I'm assuming McManis is back this week and will get first shot, but I'd guess Vereen has been getting reps there the last 2-3 weeks. I'd play them both.
  23. LB situation starting to look perilous. 1st team LBs today: SLB- Christian Jones, MLB- Darryl Sharpton, WLB- Khaseem Greene. 2nd team LBs today: SLB- Christian Jones, MLB- Darryl Sharpton, WLB- Khaseem Greene. I guess it's good that Conte and Ratliff were at least on the field today.
  24. That is outstanding. I heard that McBuckets looks awfully slow on defense with other NBA caliber players. Should be interesting to see how and if Thibs can hide his defense. Hide it right on the bench. Didn't really hide Dunleavy though.
  25. DirecTV has Center Ice free til almost the end of the month. I'm assuming West Conference Finals at least, and winning the Cup should be a real possibility (what do odds look like?). Kings aren't as good as last year, I don't think. Blues are still the Blues.
