  1. If I'm Florida, and I trade Willis and Cabrera, the names I want back are names like Sizemore, Delmon Young, Felix Hernandez. I don't think they would be interested in quanity. I think they would take players comparably talented, but with less service time.
  2. That is not a championship team. I don't think the talent is that great, and the depth sucks. Not even close to a team like UNC who won last year. But I don't think any team this year has the talent that UNC had last year. UConn may get there once they get players back. This year may be as wide open a year when it comes to teams that could win it all because of no dominant teams. Uconn, Texas, and Villanova are the best three teams. Uconn will get a lot better once they add Williams. If IU had a really good guard to go with Marco and DJ they would be the best team in the country. Vaden's really good, and he's technically a guard. :D If they can get Vaden to play every game like he did last game, and Strickland to play like he did the first 2 games, and Wilmont to play like he did his 1st game, and Ratliff to play like he did in the middle of last year, and Monroe can take care of the ball like he did the first 2 games, they will be pretty good. But yeah, those 3 are the best, and I don't think Nova is big enough to make it. I'm picking UConn to take it all. I can't remember the last time that Duke really was as good as its hype. I mean even the last year they won it all hte referees completely hosed Arizona. Vaden is a good player, I guess I should have clarified. If IU had a good to great PG they would be a load. As it is I think you guys will probably win the Big Ten as long as Mike Davis doesn't work any of his magic on you guys. Michigan St. is a better team.
  3. I wonder if Bradley tried to choke him.
  4. that trade just moves the hole in the of from right to left. not very productive imo. LF isn't that covered with Murton. He is a pretty much unproven rookie. And Abreu is one of the top 15 players in the league. You create a hole in LF, but overall the team is much better in the OF.
  5. Zito and Wuertz to Philly Murton, Pinto, and Madson to Oakland Abreu to Cubs
  6. Then you guys would score NO points  I'm sure the Bears will find a way. The team would miss a long snap and Vasher would recover it for a touchdown.

  8. Urlacher has been the best LB in the entire league this season. The Bears could make an argument for 8 defensive All-Pros. Urlacher, A. Brown, Ogunleye, T. Harris, Briggs, Vasher, Tillman, and M. Brown. -Urlacher will be there. -Vasher leads the NFC in INTs -Tillman leads the NFC in tackles from the CB position, tied for 5th with 13 passes defensed, 4 picks, plus he has perhaps to the 2 biggest plays of the year (OT pick 6, pick against GB) -Briggs is 3rd for NFC Olbs in tackles -Ogunleye is tied for 3rd in sacks -Mike Brown is the leader of the secondary, 3rd in tackles at SS, 3 INTs -Alex Brown has just 5 sacks, but has knocked down a DE high of 6 passes, forced 3 fumbles, and has hurried the QB relentlessly the last 5-6 games - Harris is tied for 3rd (1/2 sack behind 2nd) with 3 sacks from the DT position.
  9. Pay no attention to the marlins behind the curtain Pay no attention to their 2 World Series trophies!!! I wonder if you realize that you just argued against yourself That's what I was thinking.
  10. Williams, Pinto, Patterson, Hill, and Moore for Bradley and Abreu? Seems a bit excessive to me considering the Dodgers are pretty much willing to let Bradley go for next to nothing, and it doesn't sound like they want a whole lot more in exchange for Lowe. If the Dodgers were willing to let Bradley go for nothing, they would take the deal for Patterson or Walker. I don't think that's a lot to give up. Especially when you consider the Cubs are pretty desperate to fill the 2 OF spots they are trading for.
  11. Williams, Pinto, and Patterson for Lowe and Bradley Then Blalock and Lowe to Phillies Padilla, Hill, and Moore to Texas Abreu to Cubs
  12. The thing is that next year's FA crop stinks too. And the Cubs will have 2 of their 3 largest contracts coming off the books (maybe all 3 if Aramis opts out). And this same post will be relevant next year.

  14. If you can upgrade RF over a potential Jacque Jones signing, then it might be worth it to slightly downgrade 2B. I still think Soriano is a strong possibility. Loretta is a guy I know the Cubs would have interest in, who seems to be available for relatively cheap. I'd do Walker for Cliff Floyd. Trade for Loretta or Soriano and go get Wilkerson or Bradley Why not just try to get Wilkerson AND Bradley, and forget about tading away Walker? Oh thats right we're the Cubs. (Note: I have never been this negative about the Cubs, but I'm afraid that Hendry has screwed himself over by throwing all his attention at Furcal. Now he could salvage the offseason and still come away with something pretty good, but will probably try without success to land Abreu, while missing out on guys lik Bradley and Wilkerson, therefor having to settle for Burnitz or something) Not saying he shouldn't be looking at Abreu or Dunn, but Don't let other options waste away while doing it. Agreed. But the Cubs are gonna trade Walker. I believe it's a given. Just hope Hendry builds the team wisely while doing so.

  16. Ah, and Detroit was putting together a drive against Minnesota until they went for the HR and threw a pick.
  17. Favre with 4 TOs. 2 of them have been huge. Without the 2 INTs, GB is probably up 14-9 at least.
  18. Nate Dogg to the Pro Bowl. Along with Urlacher, Briggs, Ogunleye, and A. Brown.
  19. Huge miss.
  20. Them boyz is hittin!
  21. Maynard's sick!
  22. C'mon make a smart playcall for a change!
  23. The run has been there, as usual. And I think they can get a sustained drive or two on the ground with smart playaction calls.
  24. I would have tried a very quick slant. A fade may have taken too long to develop. But I'll gladly take 9-7 instead of 6-14.
