  1. Cubs have either gotten a hit or a K in 24 of their 32 ABs. 11 hits, 13 Ks.
  2. Keep this in mind next time Jason Marquis pitches.
  3. Can't believe people are requesting pinch hitting in the 5th and 6th inning with a 4-man bench, that includes Theriot who may be unable to play and your backup catcher. And one of the 2 remaining hits LH, so wouldn't matter anyway. Murton is the only player on the bench for all intents and purposes. Patterson won't hit for any of the RHs in the lineup.
  4. Cubs haven't hit any HRs in this game. They will.
  5. He was 0-2. Hopefully, Sean can get Swisher again.
  6. Weems. That's a decent pick.
  7. Michael Jordan is horrible.
  8. Can they really take CDR with all the guards we have? I think so. Hinrich will likely be gone. CDR probably makes Thabo and/or Gordon expendable too.
  9. Who's gonna be there at 39? Erden, Jawai, CDR. I like Hardin from Cal too.
  10. DJ White to Detroit! DJ and Jason Maxiell are almost the same person. I think they will be similar players in the long run, with DJ having more offense and Maxiell being a better defender.
  11. C- Oden PF- Aldridge SF- Webster SG- Roy PG- Bayless Bench- Frye, Arthur, Outlaw
  12. As I have said all along, Rich Harden ain't getting traded.
  13. Isn't Soriano a less-deserving guy due to his injuries?
  14. Yes, we are supposed to police each other. But are you honestly saying, "you're the only one who knows about the magic portal used to communicate with j fishbulb" is not being an [expletive]? And you have a couple times questioned Juan's integrity, including, the above statement and "cut him off his roster like the rules say you will." Again, point out illegal rosters, don't be an ass about it. Obviously, that could have been done without the mention of a magic portal, in jest or not. And why didn't you point out Fishbulb's illegal lineup before the Peavy trade went down? It was illegal then too. Are you policing or bitterly headhunting? There have been several other examples as well, that take the air out of this league. Need I bring up the 6-thread spanning proposed closer trade discussion? This is supposed to be fun.
  15. It's fantasy baseball, people! It isn't life or death. There's not even money involved. I understand Fish hasn't been active, but all the constant bitching about every single thing is really making this league less fun. I can't imagine how Juan feels, given that he's the GM of the league. I'd hate to think that this league will soon become not worth the hassle for him.
  16. Yeah, I'm torn between Cherry Coke and Cherry Pepsi, but I will not drink regular Coke at all.
  17. 1. Safe pick? Yeah, I think it's safe to pick the best player in the draft. 2. He wants a team who has recently drafted high risk guys like Thomas, Curry, Chandler, Gordon, Thabo, and Crawford to NOT draft a safe pick?
  18. Liz throws hard. Real hard. Fastball in the mid 90s, clocked as high as 99. Has a hard slider also. Liz will probably be tough to figure out early on. But being a young pitcher with his type of arm, the key is to be patient with him. He is prone to wildness and will walk people. As Vance noted, he's an extreme flyball pitcher. So, he will give up the longball also. Make him work early in the game, and he probably doesn't make it out of the 6th. Has only thrown more than 93 pitches, once in the majors and in that game he completely fell apart around that point. Interesting matchup for Marquis. Baltimore will throw out Huff, Markakis, Roberts, Cintron, and Scott from the left side. But Huff, KAK and Scott like to get under the ball and elevate it. O's are a pretty aggressive team, without much patience, so that plays into Marquis' hands. If Jason is on, the O's shouldn't be able to do anything with him. If not, they are good enough to take him out by the 4th.
  19. Thanks for putting up last year's numbers. I thought those numbers were pretty good considering his age and experience level, not to mention the defensive position he plays. I was worried about him sustaining that offense, and his AA number shows me that he can at least do that.
