  1. Nope.
  2. seriously what the hell? 5 baserunners, 3 of them have been doubled off base.
  3. Interleague play throws all numbers out of whack. Chase Utley sucked vs. Boston. Webb, Halladay and Zambrano sucked this week. I never trust numbers in interleague play.
  4. Thome hasn't played in the field this year.
  5. One pitch Rich is more like No-pitch Rich now. :|
  6. It's so on! Game thread Pimp is in this b.i. I hate that this series is important now that the Cubs just got swept. Danks is beatable. He has good numbers so far, but he's nothing special. Lefties have hit Danks better than RHs, so I pray that Lou doesn't start the all RH lineup. I'd imagine Fukudome will be in there. I hope Lou doesn't shy away from using Hoffpauir in LF either. Lilly will probably see a completely RH lineup as the Sox only LH hitters are Thome, who hasn't played the field yet this year and AJP, who will probably sit today. Sox are all swinging hot bats, but this ain't the Pirates pitching. Beat them 5 of 6 times last year. They are the same team. Cubs are better. Aramis has great numbers vs. the Sox pitching. I expect big things from him being at home. Derosa will be big in this series. And the White Sox have seen nothing like Kosuke Fukudome.
  7. Wow. Sweet. $18Mil guaranteed. Highest paid DT in NFL history. If he's even 90% healthy, he's worth it.
  8. And that's Marshall's final line. Encouraging if his next start will be in Wrigley Field.
  9. Really stretching Marshall out tonight. He's thru 8 with 87 pitches. He did give up a solo HR in the 8th though. 8 IP, 4 hits, 1 ER, 1 BB, 4 Ks. Interesting stat. 11 outs on the ground, and 7 in the air. Only 1 of those air outs recorded by an OF, and Marshall got 2 doubleplays on balls hit in the air on the infield. 24 outs recorded and 1 left the IF.
  10. Those teams all suck Well, I did say if. Strange that the entire NL Central was either swept or did the sweeping of a series this week.
  11. If it makes anyone feel better. Cincy, St. Louis, Pittsburgh, soon to be Houston, San Diego, Washington, Toronto and potentially Cleveland have all been swept this week.
  12. Little trouble in the 7th, gives up a single and a walk, but gets another doubleplay. 7 IP, 74 pitches, 49 strikes, 3 hits, 0 runs, 1 BB, 4 Ks.
  13. Which one, the guy who couldn't come close to the plate or the guy that is giving up the cycle to the 1st 4 hitters he's facing?
  14. 5 pitch inning. Single, bunt out, popup double play. 56 pitches, 6 inning, 2 hits, 4Ks
  15. Strange. Ramirez has had a good season. Derrek Lee had an amazing April, but the Cubs would be nowhere without the Fukudome, Soto, Derosa in the bottom half of the order (where they've been most of the year)
  16. I hate when guys go 3-4, but the one time they get out is with runners in scoring position. Why can't you save hits?
  17. Me too, although we're going to really need him this weekend. Yeah I know. He'd just be unavailable tomorrow, though.
  18. only 8 pitches again. K, groundout, popout. 5 Ip, 1 hit, 0 bb, 4 Ks, 51 pitches, 36 strikes. Iowa up 2-0
  19. This has the makings of a Marmol for 2 innings night, and I wouldn't care one bit.
  20. Fontenot shoulda started yesterday. Cedeno's my boy and all but Fonty was a better matchup vs. Sonnanstine.
  21. Was the run earned or unearned? If unearned, his ERA is 3.97.
  22. 8 pitch 4th. bunt GO 1-3, Flyout RF, Lineout SS 43 pitches, 30 strikes. 2 balls have left the IF, the single and the flyout.
  23. Nuts. Shields and Kazmir are keepers too. Add any 3 of those 4 and their rotation is nuts.
