  1. uh, wow. Could easily be 3-0.
  2. Gutsy call. Wouldn't have been needed if you called a good 3rd down play
  3. Yeah, I'll take my chances everytime w/ a RB on a LB 1-on-1.
  4. Bears are not going to miss Hester on kickoffs. Punts may be different.
  5. Nice drive. WTF?
  6. Good drive so far. Gotta score this.
  7. Do listen live at wbbm780.com. Disregard the message about them not being able to broadcast the game online. It's not working for me. Some chick talks then the sound goes dead.
  8. Anybody got the audio feed?
  9. The thing about championship gear is that it's only really valid until there is another champion. It automatically dates itself. Granted, the Cubs are in a unique situation where they haven't won in 99 years, but under normal circumstances, nobody is going to care about your 2008 NL Central Champions T-shirt when there is a new 2009 NL Central champion.
  10. What's Adams' deal anyway? How long is he out?
  11. If you are the Giants, as good as Cain is and can be, you have to make this trade without much thought. You need to spark some excitement in your fan base. You no longer have Bonds to hide the fact that you have been a pretty bad team for 4 years. Even if the Giants get rid of Cain, you still have the possible Cy Young winner in Tim Lincecum, Zito has shown flashes of getting back to being serviceable at times, Sanchez has been solid and has a lot of potential, and you still have Noah Lowry hopefully coming back next year. Wilson is an OK closer. Fielder in that lineup would give them a legit middle of the order with Rowand, Prince, and Molina. Lewis and Winn are decent at the top.
  12. Yeah that's the thing to me. I thought the Brewers would trade 2 of their other top guys over getting rid of LaPorta. Even if you traded Gamel and another top 10 guy, I thought that would have been a good deal because you still have Laporta to step in for 2009. Knowing you were likely going to lose your top 2 pitchers, Laporta gave you the ability to trade Fielder for pitching perhaps without even losing a ton offensively (hehehe, see what I did there?).
  13. There were only 2 balls that left the IF. The LF, CF, or 3B didn't make a single play. The toughest play was the Zambrano assist in the 2nd inning with Quintero running. The only tough thing about that play was throwing around his wide body from directly behind him. There were only 2 hard hit balls and they weren't drilled or anything. Most amazing is that other than the 3-4 pitches Z intentionally bounced and the last pitch of the game which was swung at and missed, none of the other pitches could have been anymore than 3 inches out of the strike zone. I thought once Z could sense the no-hitter, he really beared down. Only Blum in the 8th even had a chance for a hit after the Pence HBP.
  14. Well my top 4 are: Sizemore Wright Hamels Kinsler Hamels and Kinsler each have 1 more exemption. I also have Shoppach, Wainwright and Broxton with exemptions who are likely to be kept. If I keep all 7 of them, that will leave me about 800 points for 3 more players. Means I will most likely be deciding between Jose Reyes, Matt Cain, and Adrian Gonzalez.
  15. Why are people even thinking about benching Marshawn Lynch? First off, Buffalo is playing the Raiders. Secondly, you never bench one of your top picks. I'm assuming Lynch was a top 12-18 pick in all leagues. In the one scenario I see someone contemplating benching Lynch or Portis, who are both top 18 picks. For Julius Jones? I understand Jones had a good game last week, but he's still not as good as either Lynch or Portis.
  16. I drafted Chad Johnson....before he became Ocho Cinco. And I drafted him over Brandon Marshall (granted he had a 3-game suspension at the time), Steve Smith (2 game suspension), and Plaxico Burress (ankle injury).
  17. If Lincecum doesn't win the Cy Young, all these pitches and innings are for nothing. If Lincecum does win the Cy Young, all these pitches and innings are for nothing.
  18. Cubs killed the ball last September, couldn't hit in the playoffs. They are trying the opposite this year.
  19. Kanye told me that Bud Selig does not like white people. because the astros have recently had all white teams.
  20. Can't get the game on TV tomorrow. Good things have happened in games I haven't watched recently. I would like to be able to watch a game again this year, but only have good things happen. Therein lies my dilemma.
  21. I say thanks to Geo before every meal.
  22. Only if they were all named Geovany Soto. See, I told you.
  23. One thing to remember, Cubs offense killed the ball last September, couldn't hit in the playoffs. They are trying to reverse this year.
  24. Only if they were all named Geovany Soto.
  25. Thank God, McGowan is probably my least favorite Bear. He has been garbage since he has gotten here. Remember that Steve Smith playoff game? Well, that was Brandon McGowan chasing him around on a few of those long plays. That was his rookie season and he's sucked since. Makes a ton of penalties on special teams and generally sucks as a DB. To think they traded Chris Harris because they were confident in Adam Archuleta and Brandon McGowan is ridiculous. Terrible decisions by Lovie and Jerry. Your blind hatred for McGowan has clouded your memory. Brandon McGowan did not play in that playoff game. And I only remember 2 or 3 long plays to Steve Smith. One was when Tillman fell down and Mike Brown was giving chase. Another was Chris Thompson getting molested and Mike Green giving chase. There may have been 1 more big play, but I don't recall it. I do recall McGowan NOT playing though. The Bears safeties that day were Mike Brown, Mike Green, Todd Johnson, and Chris Harris. McGowan only played in 05 at the end of the season because Mike Brown was hurt.
