  1. That's BULL! If they rule that incomplete, the Bears better get the time put back on the clock and no 5-yard penalty
  2. Looking for a squib kickoff and short field. Good field position and at least 3 points. Get the ball to start the 2nd and gotta score again to make it a game again.
  3. Why show blitz if you're not going to bring it? That just puts the LBs out of position in the zone.
  4. People seriously think Hester shoulda caught that? That's like hitting a 90mph fastball while running from the on deck circle
  5. Orton didn't give Devin a chance. That was high and hard. Nice easy throw gets the first and maybe a score.
  6. We need to win out...We need the Giants to try even though they have nothing to play for on the road against the Vikes.... Or we need the Eagles to beat the Cowboys and the Raiders to beat the Bucs....Besides that though we still would need to win out I figure even if the Giants don't try, they still have a legit shot to win. The defense will probably play a lot to get them back on track against a strong running team. Tavares had a decent game completion % wise this week. And last week's 4 TD game. So, if he slips up (which is likely, IMO), the Giants can easily win. Still neither of these games are gimmes for the Bears. Houston is tough at home.
  7. I believe the 12 playoff teams get the last 12 picks and then it's record. Bukie, I wouldn't be surprised with just about any outcome, from a blowout loss to a blowout win and everything in between. This team has been horribly unpredictable and inconsistent. Record. The playoff teams pick based on when they are eliminated in the playoffs. The teams that lose Wildcard weekend will then be ranked based on record, and so forth. So, the team with the worst record to go out the first week will pick 21 and so forth. I'm not sure how these tiebreakers work.
  8. Minnesota owns all tiebreakers. If the Bears win both and Minnesota loses next week, the Bears would get in because they would have a better record than the Vikings (10-6 vs. 9-7)
  9. Yep, any one of them would mean the Bears control their own destiny. Winning the Atlanta game would have the Bears going for the clinch tomorrow night.
  10. Yeah, so my team completely crapped the bed. McNabb was horrible and Breaston had 1 catch for 6 yards. My team was projected for 139 points and put up a resounding 81. A 21-5 regular season and a near 300 points better than everyone in the league down the drain. The team I lost to beat me for the 3rd time this season, my 3 lowest scoring weeks of the year.
  11. That scenario must have been really old. Because now, that would mean the Eagles would be 9-6-1 and get in. Plus, Tampa has to lose and would be part of the 3-way tie at 9-7.
  12. No. Literally the best possible result. Bears still have to win tomorrow and next week at Houston. However, they can get in the following ways: Minnesota loss to NYG to get the NFC North division title or a Dallas loss to Eagles + Tampa loss to the Raiders to get the wildcard That Atlanta loss is still the one the Bears would most love to have back. Win that game and they'd be clinching with a win tomorrow.
  13. It'll be a lot easier if Minnesota loses to Atlanta this week, though. Bears would have a shot in week 17 with a win and a Vikes loss to the Giants. If Minnesota wins, the chances are probably still too slim to matter anyway. Philly still probably has to lose to the Skins this week and beat Dallas. Tampa has to lose to SD this week. And one of Tampa or Atlanta has to lose next week to the Raiders and Rams respectively.
  14. Hermida would be my top choice, but I really don't think they'd be able to get him. Of the FA's, if Bradley would be more likely to stay healthy, he'd be my first choice, with Dunn being second. I just don't think Bradley is going to stay healthy. I'd bet he misses more games than Soriano did last season. For me it comes down to 150 games of Dunn's D>Bradley on the DL for 60 games. It's still pretty close though. I understand the health concerns, but Bradley greatly outproduced Dunn the last couple years. People talk about Bradley's numbers being skewed by the great hitters park in Texas, but he had solid road numbers. Even before that, he produced great numbers in San Diego after being traded in 2007 and had a good year in Oakland before that, two pitchers parks. And losing Bradley to the DL doesn't hurt the Cubs that much, because then you can play Derosa in RF and Fontenot at 2B, which would be a minimal loss offensively.
  15. I like Dunn, but not for the Cubs. Again, on a defense with Soriano in LF and Kosuke in CF (I don't think Kosuke will be great in CF and I don't think Soriano goes to RF for his 3rd different OF position to start the season as a Cub), Dunn does not look like much of an option. In addition, when you consider the years and money you'd have to give him, there are better options. Bradley has been more productive than Dunn the last 2 years and though he will hit the DL, his contract likely won't be as long or as expensive as Dunn's. Much better defender. Hermida is much younger, shown he can be slightly less productive at his best, but entering his prime. Obviously much cheaper salary wise and better defensively, but would cost prospects. Abreu, I rate similar to Dunn. Probably just as bad defensively. Less productive. Probably a similar contract, with maybe a year shorter in length.
  16. Heh. I hope you lose badly! My matchup McNabb vs. Cutler S. Jackson vs. Barber/Choice Turner vs. Dunn/ Kevin Smith/ Jacobs R White vs. T Owens Boldin vs. R Moss T Gonzalez vs. DeSean Jackson (start flex WR/TE) Akers vs. Crosby Redskins vs. Giants Obviously Jacobs and Barber are his starters if healthy. But the CBS guru (who sucks by the way), projects Dunn and Smith as his best 2 RBs this week. Projection: Me- 148.2, Him- 124.1. I have the edge at every position except projected 1 point worse at QB and DEF. So, Boldin is out. And just like Arizona, I'm going to have to start Steve Breaston in his place. My opponent has decided on Kevin Smith and Brandon Jacobs.
  17. What about rookie of the year? How do you pick between Matt Ryan, Forte, and Chris Johnson? Heck, Ryan Clady deserves major consideration too.
  18. well, we lost to texas this year and it worked out ok for us Ha. I get it.
  19. He won't win it, but the Titans would be below .500 without Albert Haynesworth. I'd vote for him. I don't really agree with that. But he is probably more valuable to his team that whoever wins the award. If you're voting for a lineman, it should be offensive and should be Chris Snee. I really don't have an MVP pick, though. It was Portis. Then Brees. Then Warner. Heard whispers of Eli next. Now Peyton.
  20. he retired after being a crappy first baseman, so he's attempting a "comeback" to baseball as another position. what word would you use? Maybe he thinks it should just be called a "come" without the back because the word "come-back" implies he was ever somewhere to begin with.
  21. To be fair, this is kinda a big deal. I mean he is really throwing Kelvin under the bs here. I know coach wanted them to stop doing drugs, but not if it meant us not winning games. Also am I the only one who thinks this is more than just pot? I doubt very much that Eric would have thought pot was such a big deal. No way he's referring to just pot. You wouldn't think so. But I've known more than a few young athletes who were completely overwhelmed when they realized some teammates smoked pot. I'd almost bet my life that Jamarcus Ellis smoked weed at halftime of most games.
