I feel like it either should have been the death penalty or just a multitude of fines. I don't understand punishing these current kids for something that happened almost 15 years ago. Granted they can all transfer with no penalty, but practices are starting in a couple weeks and the kids that stay, freshmen in particular will never get to play in a bowl game. I understand that the current program will always suffer for past issues, but this is not cheating or breaking NCAA rules. This is freaking scumbaggery on the highest level. They should have gotten rid of the program completely, as the football program was used to lure these kids and the status of the football program was the reason for the cover-up. So, if you don't have the balls to get rid of the program completely, make them basically play football for 5 years for free. Make them donate all money to victims of rape, child abuse, etc.
