  1. And the tying run comes to the plate - Nice job Ryan
  2. Still don't have the tying run at the plate - Not worried .......yet
  3. It never is when Dempster comes in with a big lead to close out a game. I'm sure he'll make it interesting...
  4. Heck - leave Ohman in for next inning while he's hot. Not sure if we'll ever see this again.
  5. Hamstring cramp from leaving the batter's box on a foul ball while he was batting. Sounds precautionary because he finished the AB. Thanks for the info
  6. Anyone know why Gooz got pulled after 5 ? Hurt ?
  7. I have Bonderman and Halladay
  8. I'll be there as well with my son. Section 241 (left field porch) - 1st row seats. Should be a great pitching match-up tonight.
  9. Murton could have ended the game in the 8th .....Now it's Redemption time...
  10. He's got to cut down on the BB's. They always seem to bite us.
  11. I thought I saw some articles today about the Cubs costing themselves money by not having signed him already. I don't know who wrote that, but they aren't watching Z pitch. His stock is going down, if anything. I'm starting to wonder if the sale of the team was a smoke screen to him not signing. Granted it's probably far fetched, but maybe they didn't like what they saw after his first two starts and wanted to hold off on sealing the deal.......
  12. 88 thru 7 How many that inning? Six ?
  13. Not that I agree with the move, but maybe they will want to stretch him out at Iowa and set him up to come back up to start (after Miller is released, traded, whatever).
  14. Hi ya Biitner, LL is going well. I'm coaching 10 & 11 year olds (my son is 11). This year was the first year we actually had a draft, so it was different in past years, where we pretty much got to pick one or two kids and then everyone else was assigned to our team. We're in a 7 team league (within my son's division) and the overall competition has been pretty good thus far. It's neat because it's real baseball now. Stealing, running on overthrows, no five run rule limits at the end of every inning. Everything is played out. It's been tough so far this year with the weather (two rainouts so far), that not only have the games been tough to get in, but we haven't been able to have many practices either. How are things with your son. Is he in coach pitch now?
  15. Well, sure for a big market team I would agree, but I would think our options would be limited in dealing with certain teams....
  16. Didn't we try to trade Jones before the season, and there were no takers? IMO, Jones isn't going to be easy to move. We're talking about a corner outfielder with a career sub .800 OPS and who is still owed @$10MM through next season. I think Hendry may have handcuffed himself on this one.
  17. Yeah, Wuertz would have been nice Tiger.
