  1. No brainer here. Spring training is boring. I love Da Beloved. I'd be more excited if the Bears won the Superbowl than if the Cubs won the World Series. Seriously.
  2. i was thinking this exact thing. but lovie isn't available and the bears would have to give permission to jones to talk with smith. that ain't happenin'. the mccaskey family would burn halas hall to the ground before they'd see jones talk to the coach--and that's saying a lot because the mccaskey family is the cheapest in all of football. I don't think this is really true anymore. They have signed some high profile and expensive free agents recently.
  3. "Rex! Rex! Joe from the Boston Globe. Why do you suck?" "Jim here from the Tampa Herald. Can you elaborate a little more about how you suck?" "Joe, San Francisco Chronical. Rex, can you tell us when and how much you will suck this Sunday?" "Frank - Dallas Morning News. Rex, you talked about going out to dinner with your wife last night. How has your sucking effected her?"
  4. Agreed. Disagree.
  5. Lovie to the Cowboys is more of a media driven rumor than anything else. All indications are that the Cowboys are going in another direction. Lovie a mortal lock to be extended by the Bears.
  6. How does he become available?
  7. You're probably right, but wouldn't it be cool? He's been the face of this organization for the past few years. I'd like to see him score in the Superbowl. I'm just bitter because Joe Thomas blew out his knee last year playing defense in a meaningless bowl game.
  8. He's saying that they probably won't go Cover 2 against the Colts? Or Man? He didn't make it clear but I'm pretty sure that he meant that if the Bears tried what they did against the Saints, against the Colts, it wouldn't work. I'm not sure I agree but I figured I throw it out there.
  9. Listening to Dan Patrick (don't ask) and they had Brees on. He said that he was surprised with the Bears Defensive plan. He had prepared to play against the zone they typically play but they played "Man Coverage" 80% of the time. He also mentioned that they probably wouldn't do that against the Colts. I thought it was an interesting tidbit.
  10. FJM comes to a similar conclusion. http://www.firejoemorgan.com/search/label/dr.%20z
  11. Pictures of them getting off the plane are making me excited. I can't wait until this Sunday.
  12. I doubt this will make any difference whatsoever.
  13. Wow, thats actually pretty lame. All he did was point back. Who really made a big deal about the taunting? Christ. I mean 5,000 to Reggie Bush is pocket change, but its still pretty ridiculous. If he had another year of eligibility, he'd be able to go back to college and make up that money in no time. We'll see how nonchalant Reggie is when they strip the Heisman from his mantle. The innocent, good-guy days of Mr. Bush are about to come to an end. He's was whoring himself out against NCAA rules for his entire college career. Why the Reggie hate? I hate to break it to you, but he's not the only player in College Football getting paid.
  14. Alando Tucker = Good
  15. Filed under "Things I'll never understand": The repeated firing and hiring of Norv Turner.
  16. Wow. Arizona 3-pointers 1-22, 4%
  17. I think they will end up tearing down Wrigley and salting the earth because of the Soriano deal.
  18. The Colts won't really be "away" and remember, this team has traditionally been incredible on the road. In fact, I'm pretty sure under Dungy, the Colts home and road record is almost identical. I don't know what happened to make us lose 4 in a row like that (and btw, you forgot the Giants game), but it certainly seems to be corrected now, and the Ravens game didn't look anything like the Jags or Texans games, which were simply embarrassing. Just pointing out that this year, they haven't been as good away from the dome as they are in it.
  19. Colts away record: Jets: 31-28, W Broncos: 34-31, W Pats: 27-20, W Cowboys: 14-21, L Titans: 17-20, L Jags: 17-44, L Texans: 24-27, L Ravens: 15-6, W
  20. Did you see his all pro team? He basically watches a few games then arbitrarily assigns numerical values to certian plays then so he can come up with a number grade for players. Because, you know, numbers make things scientific. Briggs just missed with a 5.7? Huh??? The dude is seriously nuts, I've come to that conclusion.
  21. He is being highly critical of the Bears near loss to Arizona. Yet Indy did lose 4 times, to teams that were anywhere from mediocre to bad. He's acting like that's the blueprint to beat the Bears. One: The Cardinals lost and Two: That game was a LONG time ago. If it was the blueprint on how to beat the Bears, they probably wouldn't have romped their way to the superbowl. Colts lost to the Texans and I have a feeling that the Bears probably aren't furiously studying the tape of that game.
