  1. The Saints have nothing to be disappointed about. They will be a team to take seriously next year. Not that they shouldn't have been taken seriously this year. They were the team I was most afraid of in the NFC this year. Brees is an awesome QB. If Brees had time he could have done a lot of damage. I'm not sure why the Saints abandoned the running game just to ease the pressure but Peyton knows his team and I'm sure he had a reason. The reason I think was that Deuce got hurt in that first quarter. He came up limp after being hit low on a pass. He got up limping around and grimacing. After that play, he only had 3 rushes the entire rest of the game. I feel like they mainly kept him in there as a decoy and had to run the obligatory rush with him every so often to try and show that he was still a factor. It kind of sucked keeping him in there though because most of the times that Brees got hurried or sacked it was because the DE got past Deuce, who is normally an outstanding pass-rush blocker. I forgot about that. He was limping around a little bit.
  2. Just heard on the radio that Parcells is out in Dallas.
  3. Update? Come on, this is toeing the line of arrogance, isn't it? Give me a break, guy. Just having some fun here. That is if OMC doesn't mind you busting his chops. I think he's been pretty good about all this. I'm not trying to kick the man when he's down but he went out on a limb with that statement and it kind of stuck with me. No hard feelings though. Saints fans should be thrilled, obviously. Their team is in the up and ups big time.

  5. Reggie Bush is awesome but it was amazing to see how fast Urlacher was on that play. He didn't catch Bush but he was leading the pursuit. Funny that everyone thought the keys of the game were Rex and Deuce and it turned out to be Thomas Jones and Reggie Bush.
  6. Snow has pretty much stopped here. It's supposed to be intermittent during the game.
  7. Also, why would you want to watch Dee Brown? He's horrible. I'm surprised he hasn't been cut yet.
  8. I live about a mile from Soldier Field. It's snowing.
  9. Wow. Sucks for Russ Grimm. This was a false report, I guess. Pretty much everyone is denying it now.
  10. Landry drives the lane, Randle(?) tries to take a charge. Landry goes up, Randle falls down, then Landry shoots and makes the layup. Officials called an offensive foul on Landry, but counted the basket. I don't understand. That makes no sense.
  11. Can someone explain what happened on the call you are all talking about? Some of us are at work and dealing with ESPN game cast which at one point had Illinois players taking free throws for Wisconsin.
  12. I think it is... UnderArmor Lapel Pins?
  13. Fantastic. The 49ers have to love that, huh? It's not often you see Samurai Mike in a Grossman jersey.
  14. Oh....my.....god http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VmEI5f0qAbI
  15. Things getting ugly in here. Edit: I'm also out until after the game. Go Bears!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. I heard that the Saints have changed their team name to: "Unstoppable Flawless Juggernauts of Destruction." It should be official sometime soon.
  17. Peanut is on the radio and really playing up the no respect attitute. He basically said, "We have the best record in the league, everyone thinks we're going to get killed, people say we are the worst 14-3 team ever, we won't get any respect if we don't win. But I'd rather show you then tell you."
  18. Count me in for the "RED HOT SAINTS: TEAM OF DESTINY" bandwagon.
  19.
  20. They never played Philly on grass. i thought Philly plays on Grass, nevermind that then They played Philly at home. yeah i thought Philly plays on grass at home, i was wrong They played Philly @ NO. Both times.
  21. So? They do have them. I'm sure the Bears wouldn't have made the playoffs without a bunch of their studs. What's the point of this conversation? my point is the Bears eventhough they havent shown it the past month have a great defense and if they stop Bush and Duece, this offense will sputter and fall apart. This is especially true if its snowing and the ground is wet and Bush cant cut back and forth Yeah, obviously if the Bears can shut down the running game the chances are they will win. It's easier said than done, though.
