  1. "NO OFFENSE"??? Did you know we have a quarterback who has the most passing yards in the entire NFL. Had 11 games this year with a 90+ passer rating. Has only thrown one interception in his last 7 games. We have the number one passing offense in the NFL, yet without our RB's we have "no offense?" the offense begins and ends with Bush and Mccallister, if they werent there defenses would sit on the pass You could say that about damn near any team that has a decent running back. "No Offense"...my aching ass. they wouldnt have made the playoffs without them Now take away Urlacker (sp) and another key Bear and you could say the same thing. Mike Brown, Tommie Harris I don't consider those guys as the two best like Bush and McCallister are. Tommie Harris is the best DT in the NFC.
  2. So? They do have them. I'm sure the Bears wouldn't have made the playoffs without a bunch of their studs. What's the point of this conversation?
  3. I think it'd be awesome if we go full circle and start having fluff pieces on Rex Grossman battling adversity.
  4. Pinstripes>>>>Blues
  5. If the Bears win you're going to go crazy waiting 2 weeks instead of one.
  6. I just want them to play the game. I'm sick of talking about it really. Everything that can be said has been said. I can't wait until Sunday.
  7. Dude we tried to tell you during the last discussion that Vasher, Tillman, and Todd Johnson were all out (2 at a time) down the stretch. Manning Jr was forced into a position he was not comfortable and Hester saw the field on defense. It wasn't a good thing. If you look, the first game Vasher missed was against St. Louis. Hester is bad and he was playing signifigant time.
  8. True in my case, but I'm not sure about others. Someone from NO told me that. He could be full of it, though. I wouldn't be surprised.
  9. This isn't related to your post, but I love the play in your avatar. I have no idea why Rex doesn't do more of that when the pocket closes behind him. He is quicker than he gets credit for. I know. Look at the first cut he puts on the DB in that play. I would never argue Rex is a running QB, but that's not a move an "immobile" quarterback makes. Plus----don't you remember the Vikings game a couple years back when Rex blew out his knee? He was running successfully in that game, and the play he got hurt on was a TD he scored by running. I don't get it either. Kid can run if he wants to. He just doesn't. I think he's skittish now because of the injuries. I don't really blame him. Also, I'm pretty sure they sped up the play in my avatar to make him appear faster.
  10. I heard that LSU fans don't particularly like the Saints. Am I right here?
  11. http://www.chicagobears.com or you could always glance at the thread title.
  12. I know we've gone over this before, but he should have been credited with a fumble in the Buffalo game, and there are a couple of other times he dropped the ball almost instantly after his knee touched down, most recently in OT last week. QB's are charged for fumbles on botched handoffs. Almost fumbling doesn't count.
  13. Benson also hasn't fumbled this year. So he's got that going for him.
  14. Benson did a pretty decent job coming catching the ball out of the backfield against the Seahawks, as well. I'd like to see a little more that this week.
  15. Incorrect!!! [-X Really? viewtopic.php?t=37678
  16. OleMiss, What do you think are the weak spots of this Saints team?
  17. 3.7 YPC is not decent. It's well below average. It's crap when talking about team's in the playoffs. On grass: Jones: 76 yds, 3.8ypc Benson: 41 yds, 4.2ypc I guess Jones is well below average too? I'm pretty sure Jones and Benson have more than 117 yards on grass this season. Thats yards per game Gotcha.
  18. I don't think anyone thinks Thomas Jones has been great this season by any means. Most people here think Benson should be getting the bulk of the carries.
  19. 3.7 YPC is not decent.
  20. Didn't mean to jump all over you OleMiss. I think most Bears fans would agree that the Bears defense has fallen off a little late in the season. But honestly, they did have siginigant injuries (players are now back), they were playing prevent in a lot of those games, they put in the scrubs in some of those games, and really the games were meaningless. Whether or not you want to beleive that stuff, it's true. I really think that trying to argue that the Saints have a better defense based on the last few games isn't a really good argument, especially using stuff like total yards. The Bears do give up yardage but they work to force turnovers. Yardage isn't a very good indicator of how a defense plays if it is used in a vaccum.
  21. Yes. The Saints don't generate a ton of short field situations (low turnovers forced, average special teams). It's hard to consistantly drive the length of the field against any NFL defense.
  22. Definitely not overall. The Bears D is a beast. But the second half of the season y'all played poor offensive teams and gave up a ton of points. I showed you stats that showed that during OUR second half we played good offensive teams and gave up few points. Right now I think the Saints D is better. The stats prove that easily. no they don't. but your belief that they do prove you don't know much about football. How do the stats not prove this??? Look at your last 3 "real" games: You gave up 31 points to the 29th ranked offense in football! Then a week later gave up 21 points to the 22nd ranked offense. Then last week you gave up 24 points to the 19th ranked offense. Our last 3 "real games: 16 points to the 13th ranked offense, 7 points to the 14th ranked offense, then 24 points to the 2nd ranked offense. You clearly don't understand what was happening in those Bears games. They were playing with back of the roster filler. They were going out to big leads is meaningless games and allowed a couple teams to come back late (yet they still won, unlike the Saints that couldn't beat a terrible Redskins teams when things still mattered). They were playing with guys in the secondary who will not sniff the defensive side of the ball in this game, and they were playing extremely soft, almost prevent style defense the whole time. The coaching staff was setting up for the playoffs 2 months ago. The fact that they gave up some yards and points to weak teams in the 4th quarter of meaningless games they still won really means nothing as far as how good the team actually is. The Bears also pulled most of their defense starters about halfway through the 3rd quarter in the Lions game, as well.
  23. No I'm not. The Saints are playing better defense right now than the Bears. It's not that complicated. Injuries have hurt your defense. That wooshing sound you hear are things going right over your head.
  24. You had the 32nd ranked strength of schedule. That's dead last. Saints had the 3rd ranked SOS. Based on what? They played 2 teams with a winning record. Their schedule was ranked 22nd by FootballOutsiders.
