You know, we aren't really out of the wild card...

Here's what will happen - through some weird stuff the cubs will get to within oh lets say 4 games of the Astro's going into the final 6 games of the season ( 2 with Pit followed by 4 with Hou). We will all get our underwear in a bundle discussing our chances and hoping for a miracle, some of us will dust off our believe bracelets, etc.,etc...... you know the routine we've all been through it several times this season and other seasons. We will then drop both games to the Pirates at Wrigley, win game one in Houston and then drop the final three games to finish 7 or 8 games out of the wildcard. Nah..... I'm not going through that. I just like to watch baseball games and I'm not going to attach any type of expectation to any of our games. Check that.......I do expect that most games we will find one of our lowest obp guys in the 1 or 2 hole. -

Of course not. He's "only" thrown 108 pitches thus far. He's good for a few more innings in a meaningless game...right?!? I'm cool with taking him out - I just think he is probably a better hitter than the guy who would probably have pinch hit for him. Not according to Dustylogic™, nobody is better than the Mighty Macias. BTW, Nomahhh~! I wasn't aware Dusty had that stuff trademarked.......maybe he should give up coaching and hit the lecture circuit :wink:

It's all about putting him in situations where he can be successful. Oh wait..... I guess he probably isn't really going to see any good pitches in the 8 hole. Forget it :x

As we say in the restaurant business when dealing with our staff " there is no problem that our staff has that logic will not exacerbate" I suspect the same may be true of baseball players? :wink:

How badly have they been outscored after 2 outs in an inning?? Now that, I don't have...... and I don't think I want to know :wink: It's got to be bad because it seems like we give up 2 out runs on a daily basis and almost never come up with 2 out runs. Probably not accurate but it seems that way.......probably just listening too much to Santo.
