  1. Am I the only one who tires of hearing Jon Miller call anyone who hits more than 15 homers a year a "slugger"?
  2. If Molina gets a hit here i'm going to barf
  3. Carpenters at 100 pitches - i wonder if TLR is going to send him out again?
  4. Let's not get carried away. When I was growing up (80s), we hated the Mets just as much, if not more so, as the Cardinals. I still don't like them. I still never miss watching a rerun of the movie Fail Safe...... just so I can watch New York get nuked !!!! The 86 Mets ............ I hated those guys.
  5. The Cardinals bullpen has to suck doesn't it - aren't all of their bullpen gys starting this year?
  6. So if I know Moises is a great first pitch fastball hitter and Joe Morgan knows it how come Chris Carpenter doesn't?
  7. Joe  That is the only difference between Eckstein and Reyes............ pinhead
  8. Joe I CAN SWING THE BAT!!! The important thing is in making contact :P
  9. Oh, I don't know.... what are the odds that the sun will rise in the western sky tomorrow ? Slim to none I would say :)
  10. Man Kruk looks like he combed his hair with a garden rake
  11. Only one hour ..................... what are the odds that Joe Morgan got a lot smarter over the winter??
  12. I avoided that problem this year, no Cardinals, no Astros and Joe Crede is the only White Sox I have. Go Mets here's to the Cards losing tonight and ooohhh about 89 more times after tonight!!
  13. I believe it is a leverage thing as Z has stated he has nothing to do with the negotiations so I can't see it as much of a distraction but that is just my opinion.
  14. I just picked up some beer tonight so I'd have some for Opening Day. That's three days away................won't it be spoiled by then? I don't keept mine around that long.
  15. Nice to be on the right side of an inning like that!
  16. The manager talks to the pitching coach? I guess it's been so long since we've seen that in Chicago that I've forgotten. I think the last manager talked to the pitching coach - however I do not believe he ever listened to the pitching coach
  17. He was being facetious. The team had to take 3 trips up to Tuscon and every time they did several vetrans would come down with ailments of that type. He told them if he had to go on the trip 3 times they all had to go at least once.
  18. Can anyone else hear Santo saying in the background "he's going to play Theriot at 2nd and DelaRosa in right against lefthanders"?
  19. Baseclogger.................... isn't it hilarious that "baseclogger" is becoming part of the lexicon of all baseball fans now. That is Dusty's legacy
  20. You mean beyond the fact that Pagan's complete lack of baseball talent makes him worthless? I mean that if Jones could not play an adequate CF that Pagan's necessity, in the eyes of Cubs management, is more likely. Jones ability to play CF allows the Cubs to focus more on another position of need for the bench. I'm scared that the last roster spot may end up going to either Perez or Pagan. I'd much rather see McGehee or Coats. Given the choice between Pagan or Perez, I'd take Pagan. He's younger, and won't require bumping someone off the 40 man roster. Perez is a garbage player that shouldn't be in baseball. He's worse than Neifi Perez and right up there with Augie Ojeda and Jose Macias in the "how the heck do these guys end up on a ML roster" list. Jose Macias............now there's a guy that played a heck of a centerfield
  21. Plesac certainly loves the sound of his own voice.
