  1. I don't know if I agree with that move in the 2nd inning. mean either.. but i think its because of Ramirez... dp... and thats why.. Like I said, no reason to pitch to Lee in that situation!
  2. I don't know if I agree with that move in the 2nd inning.
  3. Yeah, he's been great. Hopefully he doesn't wear down like he did last year.
  4. This umpire reminds me of Gilbert Gottfried.
  5. Nah. If he was anyone else I'd agree with you, but he is still Cormier.
  6. Why do we keep playing this Pie kid??? He's taking too much playing time away from Jacque. I can't turn my back on Jacque dude! In all seriousness, it's refreshing to see the Cubs playing a few of their homegrown rookies every single day. I enjoy watching the games so much more with Pie and Theriot in the lineup.
  7. And all that for only $100 million! :D
  8. Are you telling me Jesus Christ can't hit a curveball?
  9. Sounds like it to me, exaggerated at best.
  10. http://insider.espn.go.com/espn/blog/index?entryID=2890979&name=olney_buster And all he gets is a fine? This is the most disgusted I've ever been with the Cubs. At a minimum I think he needs to be ordered to take anger management training and be benched for at least one start. A fine is a joke; this calls for substantially more than a slap on the wrist.Typical Cubs... Slap on the wrist and sweep it under the rug. If Zambrano would have done that to another team's player he would have been suspended for multiple starts, yet attacking his own player TWICE only warrants a fine?
  11. That's the original broadcast with Harry calling the game, right? Costas called it, it was the NBC Game of the Week. Oh okay, didn't realize that. So the DVD's include the original commentary right? I just don't want to buy the set and be surprised with some random guy narrating the games. Yeah, they are the complete original broadcasts. I was somewhat disappointed to hear that they wouldn't all be re-dubbed by Joe Carter :D
  12. Jesus, either Zambrano is a way superior fighter, or the more likely case, Barrett went in the clubhouse to make amends and Z ambushed him. That was my thought all along. If Barrett really wanted to fight, I think he probably could have dealt some damage. I know that he was big into some type of martial arts so I'm sure he's not a complete pushover.
  13. if this is true, each game is going to get progressively more hilarious. i can't wait. maybe tomorrow half the cubs will be drunk and jacque jones will fight a fan. The fan wouldn't have anything to worry about. No doubt Jacque's attempted punch would get spiked straight into the ground.
  14. It's more than "two frustrated players scrapping." It's a 26 year old man who has no control over his emotions and is clearly not a good teammate.
  15. If that's true, Z is dead to me. Barrett really didn't look pissed after the incident. He just seemed kind of stunned. And if that source is right, why was Lou making Barrett out like the bad guy? Buster Olney just reported on Baseball Tonight and his version of the story sounded similar to this one. Zambrano was yelling out from the clubhouse and Barrett went back in to talk to him and Zambrano attacked him a 2nd time. WTF is up with Lou putting all the blame on Barrett for? Seriously, it doesn't sound like he went and "hunted" Z down. Lou is rapidly becoming my least favorite Cubs manager ever. And I loved the guy in the early going. I got the impression that the fight didn't really bother Lou all that much and he seemingly put the blame on Barrett because he's more frustrated with his play.
  16. Z's a punk. Seriously grow the hell up This "discipline" needs to be more than just a slap on the wrist. I think Zambrano should be suspended and forced to take some type of anger management. I'm tired of his act and his teammates should be too.

  18. You know...I agree. Everybody talks about his fire, but I think he's selfish and arrogant. Today proves it. He can take his "sign of the cross" and stick it for he's nothin but a hypocrit I completely agree. Today was the final straw for me and I've seen enough of Zambrano's act. Barrett isn't without fault, but Zambrano is a moron.
  19. I've had all I can take for one night. Back to the "NUTS for Jericho" campaign...
  20. Why is everyone always in denial about how good the Cubs are?
  21. If you think that things would just magically turn around if Hendry is canned, I think you're sadly mistaken. The team he put on the field should be playing better than what they've shown. That and the fact that the Cubs will be feeling the effects of his horrible backloaded contracts for several more years whether Hendry is here or not.
