The Cubs' problems have been well beyond the strike zone, but the strike zone has contributed to them. That isn't an excuse and it is on them to make adjustments, but the zone has been bad nonetheless. -
Does Maddon have it in him to go off on the umpiring in the postgame conference? It won't accomplish anything, but it sure seems like his frustration has been growing throughout the series. It definitely has become clear that any extension of the zone, consistent or not, is a big disadvantage for the Cubs hitters and their patient approach.

I went back and watched the Wright double and slide into 2B n slow motion. I couldn't tell for sure whether the tag got him before his spikes hit the bag, but that's still a play that needs to be challenged.

Does Lester have any history on 3 days rest? Win or lose on Tuesday, I would really like to see him pitch Wednesday to line him up for a potential Game 7, however unlikely that may be. I'm afraid it just may be asking too much at this point for Hendricks and Hammel to throw 3 of the possible 5 remaining games.
