  1. ballgame thanks for doing that against the Brewers last week, jerk
  2. I hate you, why even tell us? I was having fun not knowing how we won because I can't watch it ;) *goes and loads mlb.tv archive*
  3. We won this game on a walkoff single by Lee in the 12th scoring Marquis
  4. Yea, there's no way they're getting this one in
  5. http://www.dailyherald.com/story/?id=301504
  6. Soriano Theriot Bradley Lee Soto Fontenot Fukudome Blanco Z some changes
  7. out of curiosity, why are you willing to play Fox at 3B while Soriano is out, but not when he comes back? I figure that right now Fox's glove can't hurt us more than Soriano's bat but assuming Fonzie is competent when he is put back in the lineup, Fox's glove would hurt us more. It's a stretch but...
  8. DFA Miles, call up Scales Rest Fonz for a bit and go with: SS Theriot 2B Fontenot RF Bradley 1B Lee LF Hoffpauir 3B Fox C Soto CF Fukudome and when Soriano comes back SS Theriot 3B Fontenot RF Bradley 1B Lee LF Soriano C Soto CF Fukudome 2B Scales
  9. From Tom Skilling: Numerous showers and thunderstorms early in the morning...then scattered showers and thunderstorms late in the morning. Thunderstorms and showers likely in the afternoon. Some thunderstorms may be severe in the afternoon. Highs in the lower 80s...except in the mid 70s near the lake. Light and variable winds early in the morning becoming southeast 10 to 15 mph in the late morning and afternoon. Chance of precipitation 60 percent I see no way they get this game in, tomorrow looks bad too... I have no idea when they are going to make all these games up.
  10. lol, Font at 2B of course
  11. Moving Soriano down makes double sense this time since there is no "he hits better in the leadoff spot" excuse that applies. I hope to see this lineup tomorrow: SS Theriot 3B Fontenot RF Bradley 1B Lee LF Soriano 3B Fox C Soto CF Fukudome P Zambrano but that will never happen
  12. How about trading Dempster for a bat and keeping Wells in the rotation?
  13. http://bits.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/06/17/mlbcom-streams-live-baseball-games-to-the-iphone/ this should be interesting... I'd guess there will be an extra charge eventually, becuase they can't charge $9.99 to watch and listen to games on your phone while charging more for MLB.tv/audio/gameday premium on the computer.
  14. I expect another rainout because we are the Cubs
  15. Tonight and Thursday are Len and Bob, tomorrow is the bad guys.
  16. I know it was mentioned in the "changes" thread, but I thought it warranted its own. Von Joshua is his replacement. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/baseball/cubs/1622260,gerald-perry-cubs-fired-061409.article
  17. I wonder if its possible for the Cubs to score 0 runs on less than 3 pitches in an inning?
  18. And my mlb.tv just stopped working completely perhaps I should rejoice
  19. Best hit ball of the day for us and it's Rich Harden. I know it meaning next to nothing, but Lee's single was definitely our best hit ball
