    Check out the Jake Fox thread in the minor league forum. Apparently, his defense is so bad that a call up is not worth it. It's getting to the point where he can't possibly make the Cubs any worse, though.

    Yeah...usually not scoring EVER is not fun to watch. But beyond that, there's nothing interesting... even the players look like they'd rather be anywhere else I hate when people say things like that. When your team is losing you always look like that. When your team is winning you always look like you are playing with a lot of heart. Ehhh....I think it's obvious they're losing focus. I mean, what else could they focus on? They are pro baseball players. No excuses

    What I've seen of Hall, he doesn't look like a good defensive player to me.

    I'm cautiously optimistic about this one. Carpenter hasn't pitched in a while and the offense is definitely due. Hopefully we work better counts tonight, get Carpenter out of there early, and make this a longer, more enjoyable game.

    Why? It isn't obvious? He's tearing up the PCL with his bat and with Ramirez out, if he could show even average defense at 3B, he could and should be called up. It's not like Fontenot/Freel/Scales is that much better defensively and Fox would surely be an offensive upgrade. He's not gonna get a shot as a catcher in this organization with Soto and Hill already here and Hoffpauir/Lee have 1B blocked up, so playing him at any position other than third is useless as far as I'm concerned.

    So, of course both Gamel and Braun end up with great defensive plays last night landing them on Sportcenter's Top 10. :roll: God, I hate that team.
