    The drooling over Fuld isn't fair, but neither is this statement really. All Fuld has done so far is get on base, show patience, show his speed, play terrific defense, and give maximum effort - basically everything Soriano doesn't do and everything a leadoff man should do. He's done nothing that warrants criticism so far. It's gonna be tough getting him and Soriano in the lineup, but right now Fuld has to stay in the leadoff spot and I think Lou knows it.

    Looking at weather.com, I'm betting the game will be played, with a delayed start. Get some Wings at Quaker Steak to tide you over! Actually, as long as the tarp is on, they might even start on time... I'm worried about the rain that might come later tonight though.

    Garrett Jones?! Of course that would happen to me The guy was my favorite player for the hometown Rochester RedWings for years until he left and signed last offseason. So of course he's batting third against the Cubs tonight and of course he will kill us.

    Yea, the premium definitely isn't "live", it's just the normal feed 4 or 5 minutes behind. For me it freezes alot, but that's because I'm connected to the internet wirelessly most of the time.

    Well that sucked... thank God half the crowd was Cubs fans or else I might have started a fight. Soriano needs to be taken out of the leadoff spot but more than anything else - Lou HAS to go. Lilly should never have faced Sanchez but the Pirates didn't even have to show up tonight - the Cubs did a fine job beating themselves. Oh well, hopefully they take the rubber game tomorrow night

    No offense to Jake here, but you've got to feel good about our staff vs the buckos right now. Hopefully we get the game in! Yea, the only thing I'm worried about is Lilly's last start - his worse of the year and he seems to be a streaky pitcher. That being said, I'd rather have him on the mound instead of Dempster and maybe even Z right now.

    We got very lucky with the weather last night (not to mention the outcome of the game!)     Sorry didn't see that post. Its ashame we don't face Snell this series, Sori has an even better OPS against him. Snell recorded 13 consecutive strikeouts on his way to a Minor League season-high 17 over seven innings Sunday as the Indianapolis Indians walked off with a 2-1, 10-inning victory over the Toledo Mud Hens. no thanks ;)

    So are you saying that since you think other defenders aren't good, it doesn't matter if yet another defender isn't good? It's gonna take a minute to wrap my head around that one. No, he's saying that it's not fair to Fox that he's being held out of the lineup for his defense when 2 guys that are in there everyday aren't that much better. I may not necessarily agree, but that's why he's saying.

    It sucks, but as bad as the Cubs are right now, I still think they have as good a shot as any to win this pitiful division. Easily. We have the best pitching rotation in the division and probably the best lineup too when everyone's hitting at their potential... Soriano: Has finally been hitting the ball better the last 2 games and he owns the Pirates so I expect him to go on a tear Theriot: I wish he'd go back to trying to slap everything to RF while at the same time try to drive it to left field every now and then; he'd be much more effective Bradley: Seems like an automatic K for him whenever he gets to 2 strikes - his timing seems off; I'm holding out that he's gonna pick it up Fox: Still young but when he makes contact, I like his chances Soto: Definitely improving Fontenot: He's definitely better served in a platoon role, so keep him in it with Fox - I really wish we had DeRosa back (shameless thread plug) Fukudome: Against RHP he's fine and at least he draws his walks Blanco: He'll be out of the lineup when Aram comes back and at least he's better than Miles

    I'm pretty sure Soriano owns Duke, IIRC This seems like an ideal series for him to start to go on a tear
