  1. I highly doubt the "he didn't have to tag you" part was uttered by the ump, even though it is obviously implied. Jeter deserved to be out anyway - it was a stupid decision to run there. (But that's partly just the Yankee hater in me :))
  2. http://newyork.yankees.mlb.com/media/video.jsp?mid=200907065436713&c_id=nyy
  3.
  4. I lol'd 2X as long as the Joey Gathright tribute video would be. Isn't that guy "Alfonso Soriano" or some stupid guy that used to post here?
  5. He's looked more natural over there than Fontenot ever has.
  6. Wait, Blanco is out of options? I don't ever recall seeing him in a major league game before this year. He saw time with the Royals from 2004-2006. Ah, the Royals - that would explain it :)
  7. I completely forgot Hart was with the team and somehow left out Fuld too. Ideally I agree that it should be Hart, Fuld, and Shark
  8. OK, so Ramirez, Johnson, and Guzman are all expected to be activated tomorrow so what will happen. Jake Fox better as hell stay here - he has earned his spot while at the same time playing great defense at third - he looks more natural there than Fontenot even. So here are the guys that could be sent down: Samardzija - hasn't looked impressive and his initial call-up was puzzling to begin with Patton - Cubs rarely use the guy, not sure why he's still around Hoffpauir - It would be a stupid move, but if Lou prefers Fox... Fontenot - Is Fox more valuable at this point? Blanco - Does his glove overpower his bat? 3 of the guys gotta go, who will it be?
  9. Meh, let's just win tomorrow and show we're clearly a better team.
  10. Seriously... Andres Blanco and Bobby Scales look like minor league hitters Casey McGehee just has that MLB player look. He's gonna be really good, we just have to hope he leaves the Brewers soon.
  11. Would they delay it until night time because it's supposed to be clear tonight?
  12. Looks like it may rain tomorrow. Wonder how long they'd wait it out.
  13. Haha, perfect time to be leaving I fully expect the final to be 1-0 when I check it later today
  14. And you wouldn't have posted this if Soriano was 2-2 today
  15. I'm not a very big Fontenot fan, but sending him down would be dumb. why?
  16. LOL @ Kendall having a good arm once he leaves the Cubs. It's ridiculous how predictable that is.
  17. Well, from that you can basically figure it out: Soriano LF Theriot SS Lee 1B Bradley RF Fox 3B Fukudome CF Hill C (day game after night game plus if Fuku's batting 6th...) Fontenot 2B Zambrano P
  18. Is this real? I think hes speculating, but you never know. Seeing how he misspelled Soriano and Fukudome, I wouldn't put a lot of stock into it.
  19. Yes /thread
  20. The drooling over Fuld isn't fair, but neither is this statement really. All Fuld has done so far is get on base, show patience, show his speed, play terrific defense, and give maximum effort - basically everything Soriano doesn't do and everything a leadoff man should do. He's done nothing that warrants criticism so far. It's gonna be tough getting him and Soriano in the lineup, but right now Fuld has to stay in the leadoff spot and I think Lou knows it. If we want to keep Fuld around, then I submit the best place for him is on the bench, where pitchers won't have as good an opportunity to adjust to him and we can sub him in for situations that benefit him the most. All in all though, if it comes down to Fox and Fuld in terms of having to send someone to Iowa: peace out Sam
