    we have those about once a week here - had them yesterday. but seriously, since moving to Kansas, I never thought much about tornado's, but now I do. I thought it would be cool to see one until I saw the damage in Greensburg from last year and during a warning (with sirens going off) I went upstairs out of the basement to get something and the winds were ridiculous. Now I do not care about seeing one. Go CUBS tonight! btw - I how you are all safe...

    I might actually get it, I never really saw the entire game. For some unknown reason that I have no idea or remembrance to now, I was driving from Indiana to Ohio and was faintly getting WGN radio listening to the game. All I remember saying to my wife is that I can't believe we are going to the world series. Then the radio started to go in and out and I knew it was bad! I have avoided everything about that game to this day, but at some point you might have to face your fears in life

    I realized that I will be out of the country during that entire last week - Sept. 24-Oct. 3, and in a remote place without real good internet connection. I may not find out how they did until after the first game of the division series... I just can't believe it. If they would just win about 10 in a row and finish it early, it would be wonderful for me...

    Vances Dream... Cubs make the unbelievable pick-up of Adam Dunn on waivers and he is in the lineup when one Vance the Cub Fan comes to the mic to sing and calls out for some more runs - Dunn Steps up in the bottom of the 7th hand hits a 3-run shot to Sheffield. wake me up, I would take that dream as well...

    For those on this forum who say that Jim Hendry makes rash decisions should read this thread from the beginning. We had euphoria about ready to erupt and then the post after losing last night was something like depression... every team has a bad night, overall we are playing very good baseball. No need to react one way or another - let's just keep playing well

    that place was crazy for that one. It was in one word: AWESOME. When he grabbed that flag, it was pretty neat. He landed it in the basket in right field and the wind was blowing in pretty good. I think everyone was hoping he would do it and he did. Amazing! I will never forget that home run.

    The slam against ST. Louis was amazing I was there when he hit the pinch hit slam against Pirates in Pittsburgh in 2004. As for me, being there will make it something I will hardly ever forget. The crowd in Pittsburgh was absolutely LOUD. I am surprised this was not one of the choices...
