    And it's been that way for years. Stupid approaches by stupid players led by a stupid manager. Count me in as well, their refusal to adjust their collective approach based on a given pitcher' pattern, etc. is beyond stupid. I'd like them to go with some pitches...outside to right field. The outs are bad, but when its 2-0 and you ground out weakly...that's just bad decisions It's common sense with a young pitcher on the mound you have to show more patience. Why help them out in any way or let them get into a grove. Make them prove they can throw Strikes at the big league level. Other teams do that do our young kids...Just don't get it...

    A couple weeks ago we Cubs fans were bashing Jones now we are all angry that's he's out of the lineup for a day. Baseball is funny like that.

    Day off? not when he's hot :x I know but every manager does this. Manager love giving days off to players regardless if they are hot or not.

    That one might be my favorite Cubs jingle. It's my ring tone. I miss a lot of calls, if it's game day because I'm singing along. Yeah where in the world did you get that ring tone??????????

    Reminds me of the Cubs "future" rotation a couple years ago that included: Wood Prior Z Guzman Nolasco/Hill/Pinto/Mitre LOL! I was just going to write that.

    They've only had 3 picks to deal with. It's not like they were forced to only have 3 picks in 6 rounds. They put themselves in this position with offseason moves that have them 10 games under .500 and well out of the race. Wilken certain was forced into this position. Remember he was brought in this offseason as well and if memory serves, it was well after the FA signings. Wilken runs the draft and his hands were somewhat tied. I'm not trying to be overly optimistic, and for the record, this draft disappoints we as well, but realistically this was a poor draft well before a single pick was made. If you had to choose a draft where you only had a few picks, wouldn't you pick the weakest draft? I would pick a more impactful group of free agents to lose my picks over. Who upsets you more at this point, Jones or Pierre? Just curious, include the contract situations as well. I'm not going to bash jones like most people on this board because he's been real good so far. I was going to be happy with a .270 hitter, 25 HR's and about 75-80 Rbi. Looks like he might exceed that.

    I hope the "creative" part of the plan that Wilken was talking about wasn't drafting a top 10 pick football player and begging him to play baseball as his "summer job"...
