    I agree with you. I normally would be upset, but it's expected. The Sox right now are worlds better then us in every way. It's a credit to their GM. He's really done everything right the past 2-3 years. Amazing job by Williams.

    I have little to no hope for this game. Rich Hill always seems to look uncomfortable and in a packed house , playing a team that looks like it's going back to the WS, I'm think Hill doesn't make it past the 3rd inning. Sox win this game 9-1. I hope I'm wrong....

    I just want to make sure that I'm right. Kerry Wood next pitches the 23rd and then the 28th correct? I have friends coming down from Belize and they have never been to Wrigley and want to see Wood pitch. Thanks in advance, CC

    There is SO MUCH you can say about that statement... :twisted: :twisted: :twisted: So I'll take the G-Rated path... Neifi's at the plate, count is 3-0, he's about to walk in a run... Dusty walks up behind him, taps him on the shoulder and says "BOO!" This totally freaks Neifi, and he bunts an out to lose the game. I see...I was wondering what the hell you were talking about. I wanted to say something other them Freaking starting with a F, but I didn't want to upset the kiddies...

    Cubs are gonna here alot of Boos. First from the Sox fans and then from the Cubs fans. They better come out smoking to settle down the crowd. I PREDICT! Cubs win this game 6-2! Murton and Jones goes yard!

    They really do have a very good balanced lineup. I think we already lost. Dusty better not start freaking Neifi! I was a Neifi backer up until this year. I think he's done! I honestly would rather see Womack come up.

    I think he did...you don't put down a bunt in that situation unless you're absolutely, positively freaking sure that's what the manager wants. No way Neifi did that on his own. I just can't see Baker calling for a bunt. No way! I think Neifi somehow forget there were 2 outs. That's the only thing I can possibly think of that makes any sense, and it's still stupid.

    Why do we get guys and they always stink? Cards get Womack and he's an allstar. Cards get Eckstein and he becomes a great leadoff hitter. Weren't both these guys at the tail end of their careers? You wanna bet if Pierre was a cardinal he'd be hittig .300..

    I'm fine with Wood's outing today (though I wish it had gone another inning or so). He looked very good aside from the homers of course. But if the offense doesn't improve, Wood won't matter. Not trying to be glib, but should we care how he looks or what the results are? Giving up 3 HRs in 5 innings isn't good, even if he struck out 15 batters. That's always been the problem with KW No...no it hasn't. And yes, considering the amount of time he's been gone, this is like opening day for him. As I recall, Z wasn't too sharp on opening day, and he's doing fine now. KW's problem has been walks. So the occasional homer or hit scored runs. 2 of the 3 homers were solo. Considering everything, I'm not concerned about Kerry. I'm concerned about the lineup. With the loss of velocity, I'm concerned. Isn't velocity the last thing to come back after shoulder surgery? Yep and he was still hitting 93-94 MPH today.

That's always been the problem with KW You should care how he looks, given it was his first game back, results were not the end all. But he walked nobody had a WHIP of just 1.00 and struck out 6 in 5 IP, while averaging just 14.2 pitches per inning. Those results are all very positive. I don't normally agree with you Goon, but I agree. I'm fine with him today and he'll only get better. I'm excited about his new found control today. Hope he keeps it up.
