    Gotta move Suzuki down in the order. No reason he needs to get more ABs than Bellinger, Swanson, Morel, etc every night.

    I want meaningful baseball in September/October. Playoff baseball is the best, and I miss it. Even if the odds of winning it all are very, very small, I want to be entertained with playoff atmosphere baseball. Isn’t the point of sports from a consumer perspective to be entertained? I also have a little bit of money on the Cubs over 77.5 wins 😏

    Nobody knows why. I have no problem with piggybacking Smyly, but Wesneski was pitching well and should have been allowed to go through the order a second time.

    The Cards broadcast replay is pretty good. They were FLOORED that Mikolas got tossed. So good.

    Torrey Craig is a nice signing. We needed better 3 point shooting and perimeter defense. They addressed those needs with Carter and Craig. Rebuilding was likely the better route, but pretty happy with the moves made. All below market 2-3 year deals should make this easier to blow up and get something in return when the time is right.

    I think this Is the move. I would also be in favor of skipping a turn or 3 for Steele and Wesneski at some point later in the year.

    Assad has pitched 10.2 innings over 3 starts at Iowa. He is NOT stretched out. There is no justification for throwing him out there for a 6th inning the third time through the order. Go to Keegan, Leiter, or even Rucker. You have Steele going tomorrow followed by an off day.
