    Benson went on the DL as I recall, making a trade impossible. Supposedly Benson was all but traded, but then he got hurt. The Aram deal had to be thrown together very quickly afterwards. The real culprit allegedly was that PNC park was $30 Million over budget, from the Pirates perspective. We had paper due towards this debt and had to pay it.

    To really torque us Cardinal fans?? :lol: You guys got Rolen in a similar way. The Phillies at least got some serviceable players in Timlin and Polanco. Unlike the Pirates who got nothing of value Yes we did (if I'm to believe everything I've read): Solvency. Really. I'm not making this up.

    Craig Wilson will be traded if the right offer comes along. He might be traded if any offer comes along. He was shopped during the off season. He's going to be a free agent after this season. Not only has management made no attempts to sign him, he's gone to management about a long term contract and was never gotten back to. For whatever reason, Littlefield doesn't want him long term.
