    How can you have a fantasy team with a .348 BA and a .362 OBP? Wouldn't you have a couple players that would bring that up? He's got... Russell Martin, Shawn Green, Aaron Rowand, Jimmy Rollins, Brian Roberts, Juan Pierre, Todd Helton, Aramis Ramirez, and Carl Crawford. He's only got one walk, and that was by Rollins.

    so far this week??? It's Tuesday. Still got 40-50 some at bats in... We both had near full teams going yesterday.

    Just for a bit of humor, so far this week my fantasy team is batting .235 to my opponent's .348 I am still beating him in OBP .381 to .362 Guess which team is more sabermetrically inclined. :lol:

    Exactly what I was thinking. Actually, considering the situation we were in it wasn't a horrible move. Izturis lacks even the gap power required to bring Barrett home from first. The best thing he could have done would be to increase run expectancy for the next inning, which would be best served by getting the pitcher's spot out of the way during the current inning. In that case, I'd say "by any means necessary"

    8 broken down as: Floyd: 6 Barrett: 1 Jones: 1 I'm not sure it'll be Floyd that takes six pitches, but I bet two of the above go out on two or less pitches each.

    Since I don't have WCIU, I'm stuck watching the Cards game. The Cards announcers are talking about Helton's goatee and how it "keeps the gypsies away." I'm so happy to have had such great luck with announcers for the Cubs.

    no, he didn't. pierre sucked, and pretty much everyone on this board knew he would. he made whatever hole in the lineup there was worse. and that's his fault, not pierre's. pierre did exactly what everyone thought he would do. just b/c hendry, espn and joe morgan say pierre is a good leadoff hitter, doesn't make it so. Yeah. I don't know of a single realistic person who thought Juan Pierre was even a good option for CF just for the money... let alone what we gave up to get him. And make no mistake, Juan Pierre isnt a leadoff hitter. He's a CF, and a subpar one. gotta love a noodle armed CF'er :pukel: I was more upset about his anemic bat. Sad thing is I wasn't surprised at all that he led the league in outs...

    I think the problem right there is assuming each run distribution is equally likely. If G = 162, X = 850, and Y = 750, there is a near zero chance that the set begins (0, 0, 850, 0, 0, 0, etc...)
