  1. I know Wuertz isn't looking his best, but maybe that's cause he thinks he's gonna get pulled everytime a lefty comes up. I sure hope Lou doesn't make the mistake of leaving Ohman in vs a righty... cause he gets smoked by em.
  2. Have you checked their stats? Game threads aren't for rational thought. Although to be fair, despite our inherited runners streak and generally strong numbers, we're way down the list in WXRL for a reason. We give up runs in bad opportunities. Pardon my stupidity, but what's WXRL? Win Expectation above Replacement, Lineup-adjusted Basically it's a measure of how well our bullpen does for us towards helping win games. Three innings of scoreless relief in a blowout ballgame doesn't affect it nearly as much as blown saves or holds... conversly, when Wuertz came in with the bases juiced and nobody out in a close game and struck out the side, that counted a bunch.

  4. I was thinking more along the lines of, "and we're keeping Soriano's arm in left because...?"
  5. Is Dempster starting to remind anyone else of Mitch Williams?
  6. It wasn't a bad play considering DLee was backing up. Now he can score on a WP or PB Considering the odds of a WP or a PB compared to the odds of him getting thrown out in the 8th inning as the tying runner already in scoring position, it was a stupid call.
  7. Sarcasm? Cause it's not near worth the risk when there's 2 down and you're already in scoring position as the tying run.
  8. For all the whining in this thread, you'd think we were losing. It's tied and we're at home. The only thing not favouring us right now is Snell's pitch count.
  9. yes I think it's time I pirate a signal, then. A ha! I found a way to get into Mosaic without a subscription... can't change the audio, though.

  11. "yeah, easily" It's painful is what it is. Pretty much. Freaking WCIU...
  12. How can you have a fantasy team with a .348 BA and a .362 OBP? Wouldn't you have a couple players that would bring that up? He's got... Russell Martin, Shawn Green, Aaron Rowand, Jimmy Rollins, Brian Roberts, Juan Pierre, Todd Helton, Aramis Ramirez, and Carl Crawford. He's only got one walk, and that was by Rollins.
  13. The Cardinals announcers are now talking about how Chris Duncan could add 20-30 lbs of muscle to his frame.
  14. so far this week??? It's Tuesday. Still got 40-50 some at bats in... We both had near full teams going yesterday.
  15. Just for a bit of humor, so far this week my fantasy team is batting .235 to my opponent's .348 I am still beating him in OBP .381 to .362 Guess which team is more sabermetrically inclined.
  16. Well I guess that's one way to increase your IsoD...
  17. Pffft, the tattoo on my arm says otherwise.
  18. Exactly what I was thinking. Actually, considering the situation we were in it wasn't a horrible move. Izturis lacks even the gap power required to bring Barrett home from first. The best thing he could have done would be to increase run expectancy for the next inning, which would be best served by getting the pitcher's spot out of the way during the current inning. In that case, I'd say "by any means necessary"
  19. He has got to stop playing cricket in the offseason.
  20. Ahhh, seven pitches to get through Floyd, Barrett, and Jones. I overestimated them.
  21. Since Barrett got on, are we just gonna make this "through those three batters in 8 or less pitches?"
  22. 8 broken down as: Floyd: 6 Barrett: 1 Jones: 1 I'm not sure it'll be Floyd that takes six pitches, but I bet two of the above go out on two or less pitches each.
