  1. Really? Wishing injury? To be fair, getting Ronny in over Theriot would project to improve the team by a few wins over the course of a season. Theriot seems like a real nice guy and all, but the least he could do is take one disabling injury for the team. unless ronny hits like he did in 2006, in which case you'd lose more games with him in the lineup. Except that he's not projected to do that at all, is he?
  2. I was about to suggest that we put this in the Rivalries forum. I think they've taken over as the team to beat in missouri.
  3. Nope. I missed the above post.
  4. Tris Speaker?
  5. I know how painful that can be... I'd sooner wish the physical pain upon him.

  7. Interesting... And yeah, that draft looks like exactly the sort of thing I typically avoid. I think the only pitcher I've grabbed inside the first five rounds of a draft in the last few years was Jake Peavy.
  8. How did you come up with the best fit numbers for your specific team?
  9. One of the guys is right.
  10. I wouldn't give up Hill for Bedard, straight up.
  11. That wouldn't be fair. I always win those.
  12. I always think Aramis Ramirez. High average, high power, lack of plate discipline.
  13. He'll be a free agent in two years. We shouldn't need to trade for him.
  14. I know this one, but that's because I had already been asked this as a trivia question.
  15. In terms of pure potential, he's undervalued. But considering how easy it is to tweak a knee at C (and how a good portion of his value is tied up in the fact he gets steals), not to mention the fact that the Dodgers don't particularly like to rest him, I'm a bit worried about his health. He's probably undervalued as a third rounder this year, but going forward I wouldn't expect that to be the case. Generally speaking, I don't like NL catchers simply because they don't get the same number of PA's the AL catchers can get with the DH.
  16. Nothing wrong with some moderately priced rotation depth... assuming it's on a one year deal.
  17. No, it isn't. All it is now is annoying because you have to scroll through all those posts to see if there's actually any posts of substance. Enough is enough, people. Time for it to stop. And now I'm starting to feel awfully prescient.
  18. It wasn't funny when it started, either. That won't stop it. Rickroll not being funny killed it. I could see this getting killed eventually.
  19. I realize that. That's part of what I think is so funny about the trade. Really, it's more than the Tigers gave up for Cabrera and Willis...
  20. Just for fun... One of the posters at OH is proposing a Bedard and Roberts for Pie, Colvin, Vitters, Marmol, Gallagher, and Veal trade...
