And both Brownlie and Johnson had a prior history of arm problems. With the two guys this year (Cashner and Fields) that may be avaiable at 19, they have very impressive mechanics, and neither throw across their bodies. Heck in Cashner's case, he has only pitched 50 innings this year! Both of the arms are very fresh, and Fields's Slurve is almost unhittable. I'm just saying, I think passing on both of these guys would be a mistake. If we could get a starter, I would complain less about picking a college arm in the 1st... but if we actually used our pick to grab a reliever, that might be one of the worst decisions we could possibly make... For the record, in terms of people who might be available, these are the guys I'd be going after.
