  1. Showering and throwing on my Ramirez road jersey... let's just hope that's enough.
  2. It'd probably take Soto to get the ball rolling.
  3. Merge with History thread?
  4. Pix plz when it comes in full Somehow, it managed to grow in about 3 hours. It's like a playoff eve miracle! http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b174/kanumber08/Beardfacedamnit.jpg So... based on the disparity in hair color, can we assume you dye your hair?
  5. As far as the WS is concerned, we could probably get buy with one fewer pitcher thanks to the DH not forcing pitching changes when the bottom of the order comes up. At that point, we could definitely afford to drop Howry or Marquis for Hoffpauir.
  6. That's what yo momma said last night.
  7. 1962 NL MVP: Maury Wills: .299/.347/.373, 100 OPS+, 6 HR, 13 doubles, 10 triples, 48 RBI, 130 Runs, 51 BB BEATS Willie Mays: .304/.384/.615, 165 OPS+, 49 HR, 36 doubles, 5 triples, 141 RBI, 130 Runs, 78 BB Frank Robinson: .342/.421/.624, 173 OPS+, 39 HR, 51 doubles, 2 triples, 136 RBI, 134 Runs, 76 BB Hank Aaron: .323/.390/.618, 170 OPS+, 45 HR, 28 doubles, 6 triples, 128 RBI, 127 Runs, 66 BB How does that happen? Let's look at the SB totals. Wills: 104 SB Mays: 18 SB Robinson: 18 SB Aaron: 15 SB Lame.
  8. That depends on the league. ESPN's results got jacked with because of it.
  9. Nor should he. Edmonds vs. lefties the last 3 years... 2006 - .156/.198/.281 2007 - .198/.286/.346 2008 - .152/.220/.239
  10. Hey, I like Greinke as much as the next guy, but the Royals have said over and over and over and over and over that hes untouchable. There's different levels of untouchable... and Greinke falls somewhere in between Pujols-untouchable and Sam Fuld-untouchable. He can be got.
  11. Runners on 2nd and 3rd, 2 outs, and Nate McClouth takes a 3-2 offering from Dave Bush and flies out to Mike Cameron. Dave Bush at 57 pitches through 2 IP.
  12. I hope so. He hasn't pitched enough that I'd want him throwing more than the 75 or so he's already thrown.
  13. It was bad, but I wouldn't call it horrible. We'll see worse this game, I'm sure.
  14. Good timing for that then My sentiments exactly.
  15. I'd rather trade Marquis for peanuts and let Samardzija and Marshall duke it out for a rotation spot in spring training.
  16. His upper body is still bailing, but his foot isn't going as far up the first base line... at least that's what I'm seeing.
  17. Cinci is looking to render our make-up game with the Stros unnecessary.
  18. I'd like to see him wait for the ball to get further into the hitting zone so he can use some more of his power... but if he can put up his April numbers hitting the ball out in front of the plate, I wont complain.
  19. That's why it's important to step towards the pitcher instead of bail out... actually have the ability to do something with pitches on the outer third of the plate. Great adjustment by Fukudome.
  20. Why does Milt Pappas have to the answer to every trivia question?
