  1. Golden Thunder PM'd and said he couldn't start tomorrow's game thread, so I asked Truffle to do the honors (thanks Truffle!).
  2. Here's a link to a page in the locked thread below that talks about one of the several different Roberts related trade rumors that were floating around. You are welcome to read the entire locked thread if you want to know all about the Robert trade rumors (and a bunch of other topics and non-topics as well).

  7. If anyone is burning to make their first (non-wildcard) transaction, you're free to do so now.
  8. You're an idiot. How is this acceptable? . selective moderation. How do you know nothing was said to him? Often times things like this are handled by a simple "Hey, You know not to do that. So, don't." type of PM without a single word being said in the thread in question. Not that I'd know from experience or anything. Roast = Genius!
  9. You've been added, Soul -- welcome aboard!
  10. There are thousands of theads on this board. Please consider posting in those threads and let this one go. Thanks.
  11. Quick FYI -- the Bonus I Questions are actually worth 30 points each instead of 20. I corrected this in the original post, but wanted to mention it. It won't change anyone's entry. Thanks to soccer10K for catching the scoring discrepancy!
  12. We're just going to go with 'the thread will be locked at some point on the Cubs' Opening Day.'
  13. I'll have several things, Vance, but I won't be putting together the package until late April.

  15. Thanks SO MUCH for helping, Derwood!
  16. Please put your contest entries in the sticky thread above and any discussion in this thread. I'd like to keep this separate from the HR Derby thread to make it easier to spot HR Derby transactions in the other thread. Thanks!

  19. Welcome to the 2008 NSBB Predictions Contest! Like the previous contests, this contest consists of listing your predictions for Cubs team and individual players stats for the 2008 regular season. The categories and the scoring for each category are listed below. A sample entry is also included. This contest is not for the impatient – it will take the entire 2008 baseball regular season to determine the winners. All entries are due by NOON Central Time April 4. The thread will be locked at that time and no further entries will be accepted. That gives everyone over a week to get entries in and a few Cubs games on which to base all of the seasonal predictions. Contest winners will be announced a few days after the 2008 season ends. Thanks, and good luck with the contest! Please use this thread for contest entries only -- feel free to discuss the contest elsewhere in the forum. This thread will be thread that is locked on April 4. Thanks! The Not-So Fine Print Many Many Thanks to Derwood, who pulled together the categories, and to Vance, who is coordinating the prizes. The Fine Print The contest is open to all NSBB posters. However, premium and non-premium members will be eligible to win different prizes. The non-premium poster who finishes with the top overall score among non-premium posters will be awarded 3 months of premium service. Premium posters who finish within the top 10 overall premium member scores will choose from a list of prizes donated by other NSBB members. The prize list will be posted before season end. The premium posters will choose from the list in order of placement. If there's a tie between premium members even with the tiebreaker, then whoever posted the entry first wins the tie. To be considered a premium member for purposes of this contest, a poster must maintain premium membership by any means (yearly or monthly subscription, etc.) from April 1 through October 30. Tim will determine whether that requirement has been met, and his determination is final. If you are interested in bartering goods and services for premium membership, please contact Tim directly. The MLB.com stats page will be used to determine the final correct numbers for each category. Feel free to edit your entries as many times as you wish up to the contest deadline. Please don't submit more than one entry -- just edit your previous one if you want to change it. Winners will be notified via PM and the standings being posted here and need to respond within a reasonable time frame to claim their prizes. Good luck! :D ETA: Past Predictions Champs 2005 - Dr. Cub 2006 - Mark Prior's Calves (MPC) 2007 - Chris

  21. Fixed! Thanks!
  22. I think everything is caught up on the first page now, thanks to an anonymous and kind fellow mod. Please check the list and let me know if I've goofed anywhere. Thanks!
  23. Sorry about that, Golden Thunder. I had 40ish unread messages and inadvertently skipped over your 2nd message. I'll update the list and PM Southpaw with the correct choice.
