i dont. he was a very arrogant jerk when we met him in spring training the 1st year he was on the cubs. hopefully we all get remembered for the one time we may meet someone! First impressions mean everything.
And since this thread has been dug up from the trenches and hijacked all in a matter of minutes, let's give a big hand to Ted Lilly in his first outing in a Cub uniform. Outstanding performance! =D>
I don't have any issues with the offense. The weather was brutal tonight and Arroyo had filthy stuff. Harang was outstanding as well. Murton looked terrible against Harang. This team will be scoring plenty of runs. We just need performances on the mound like Lilly had tonight more times than not, and they will win lots of games.
If you want to bench your starters for the rest of the week, I'll let you. :D Meanwhile, I put Gomes in at Utility and Baldelli on the bench since Baldelli had a hamstring problem. Baldelli is playing in Gomes' place at DH and I'm getting nothing at Utility. Can I switch these guys? Gomes has zero at bats so far this year.
Murton looked horrible in game 1. I'm fine with the extra lefty bat in the line up today. Definitely rather see Jones hitting 2nd rather than Izturis. But, I'd also rather have Theriot in the 2 spot.
I'll be the first to admit I don't know the specifics of this and am getting my info from a cards forum...but seriously...you must work for DirecTV...you've been their #1 spokesperson on this board for every issue since day one. As I said...I don't know the specifics...but if DirecTV is making them pay for MLB EI to get something that would otherwise be free on the local Fox station...I think that is crap. He convinced me. I don't even have DirecTV, but I'm sending them monthly payments simply because of their greatness.
I'm watching LAD vs. Mil on my laptop and Sea vs. Oak on my desktop. I didn't know I could launch MLB.TV on all of my computers. Pong has become quite annoying, and I've only had MLB.TV for 2 days. The deer commercial that starts up each time I switch games is even more annoying. Oh how I long to hear that annoying and repetitive music MLB EI plays between innings, and before and after games.
