  1. Yes. Mabry is with Colorado. I get all the Padres games on local tv here.
  2. Haha. I saw him PH last night. One pitch fly out to RF. He will NOT be missed.
  3. It's finally here, also. I have the free preview thing going on, but I haven't ordered the package yet. After the game I'll put my order in.
  4. He wasn't very effective last inning and he was already up over 90 pitches and the Cubs had a 4 run lead.
  5. No doubt. There was no reason to bring him back out.
  6. What kind of line up against Capuano tomorrow? Soriano Murton Lee Ramirez Barrett DeRosa Jones Cedeno would look good to me!
  7. Izturis trying to prove me wrong in the 2 hole.
  8. I'd pull Z at this point. The pen will be just fine.
  9. I'm fine with Jones, personally. As long as DeRosa is pounding the ball well at 2b, Ward might be alright to give Jones a rest occasionally. Lee sure isn't going to sit out very often, so you want to keep Ward from getting too bored sitting on the bench game after game.
  10. I think a lot of the pitchers they have faced so far are pretty good control pitchers, and aren't going to walk a lot of guys, so they are free swinging a little bit more because they aren't going to draw many walks against these guys.
  11. Ramirez looking good defensively. The official scorekeeper should remove the error from yesterday's game since it wasn't an error.
  12. Cubs bats looking good against top pitching. Let's just hope they fare better this year against the pitchers we've never heard of.
  13. If I miss a perfect game I'll sue FOX Now why you wanna go and say such a thing? :axe:
  14. this isn't the first time this sort of thing has happened this year. If it happens too much more, I may come to expect it every now and then. It's so scary raising expectations of this team. We can get rid of about 4 relievers if they can keep getting it to the 8th inning. :D
  15. I'm going to unhijack this thread. I went out to dinner last night so I had to tape the Cubs game. There is nothing better than not knowing the outcome of a game and watching it with no commercials. Especially when the innings keep flying by and you have a guy throwing a no hitter. I was flying through that game anxiously awaiting to see how well Hill through in the next frame. That first strike out pitch to Richie Weeks was a thing of beauty. I was telling the wife when he had Weeks 0-2 "here comes the filthy nasty." Sure enough, the bottom dropped out and Weeks flailed away at thin air. She has a whole new respect for Hill's breaking ball now.
  16. I thought the ump was squeezing him a bit in game 1.
  17. We? I was perfectly fine with yesterday's line up. I thnk he is referring to the mini-meltdown that occurs everytime Murton is not in the lineup. I like Murton as much as the next guy, but Floyd is going to get some starts. Luckily, it doesn't appear as though it's going to be an absolute platoon. Murton is starting against Sheets today.
  18. Cedeno made sense, IMO. With Blanco back now, Murton will probably jump ahead of Cedeno for RH PH at bats now that he's no longer the emergency catcher.
